It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Roberttitus: On a side note, should it be taking like like 5+ minutes for the download to even start? It has been doing that all along.
No. It should be far shorter. Your issue concerns a 284 ko something downloader binary file. Download should be immediate.

I never tried that, but what if someone sent you the downloader file by mail ? Has anyone here ever tried such a move ?
First of all it doesn't matter what server you download it from as the file is served through a content delivery network which means that one single file is mirrored on multiple nodes across the network so the file is the same everywhere.

Second, it is definitely a download corruption issue; what anti-virus are you running and what (if any) firewall software?

Roberttitus: I would like to point out that I just got an email from Gamersgate support.... want to know what it said?

To run it as an administrator & if that didn't work to ask people on Game Tutor (which I did to no success as the person just said to do the same thing) or Search the internet.... thats some brilliant insight to my problems right there. Seriously... fuck these guys.
Considering that I'm actually spending some of my free time helping people there, (got quite a few questions marked as solved there)... no offense, but I'll say, fuck you. :p

Seriously dude, its a problem with on your end.

Want me to send you the installer?

Are you a part of Gamersgate customer support? If so, then I could very well say the same to you.

I'm telling you it is not. I redownloaded countless times trying several different things... it isn't on me... it is on them

No, I'm not part of GamersGate. But whatever, I'm done with this thread.

Microsoft Security Essentials & Windows Firewall. I even disabled both of them & tried downloading the game again.... it still didn't work, so it can't be because of my Anti-virus.
What internet browser do you use ?

With which security settings ? with plug-ins / toolbars ?

You may want to
1) delete your internet temporary files
then
2)try lowering your brower's security settings to medium/low

Roberttitus: ...
Am I correct in thinking it's the "Download Shadow Dancer- The Secret of Shinobi.exe" that you can't get to run?
I've just downloaded it and verified it to work. The MD5 of my file is 922570D9D584FD98650FD8D5619CE3F3, compare that to the MD5 of your file and then we'll know whether you've got exactly the same file as everyone else.

If it's different I'd guess download corruption, but if it's the same I'd have to say it's not their fault and it's something wrong with your computer.

I use internet explorer & the only two toolbars are the Bing toolbar & the Web of Trust toolbar

1. I do that multiple times a day

2. It already is
Yeah, I don't know what to say. Just tested my download for it off Gamersgate and the downloader worked fine when I ran it... =/

And yes, I believe we're on the same server ;P
I can send you the downloader I got if you want to test that one out.

Where do you find that at?

On a side note... how do you do a screen cap?

If by screen cap you mean a screen shot, then type snip in the start menu and launch snipping tool (that or record steps to reproduce an error).

As for the MD5 hash, you can use HashTab.

Finally.

The damn thing just decided to download after trying for roughly 2 days.
