Thanks. The surgery went well. I'm starting to walk again - a great achievement considering I had come to the point of being almost tied to a wheelchair - but it will take another month or so before I'm able to go back to work

I doubt it. Just because you previously downloaded it, doesn't mean that it would work had you downloaded it today. On top of that, I see that you are from Macedonia.... I am from America. We are on two completely different servers.

I have got it to download, but never install. It just says "Download_Shadow_Dancer-_The_Secret_of_Shinobi.exe. is not a valid Win32 application" & refuses to go any further.
Aha! That's not even the game's installer, that's GamersGate's downloader failing to run for... some reason. I've got 5 or 6 games from there and I've never had a problem like that. It does seem unlikely that download could be corrupted every single time (especially when their downloader is so small).

Unfortunately... I have no idea. Sorry.

.... Stating the obvious here but have you tried any compatibility modes or running as an administrator? I only own one gamersgate game but the installer ran fine... you do have to remember to delete the folder related to the downloader as well though otherwise it'll just try and use the same files again.

Tried it... no luck.

On a side note, should it be taking like like 5+ minutes for the download to even start? It has been doing that all along.

The game is a dozen MBs... 16, to be precise, if I remember correctly. Maybe something is wrong with your connection?

Nope... I have downloaded like 8 songs off of Amazon since I first started trying to download the game & they all started downloading instantly. There is nothing wrong with my connection.... it has to be on there end.
Now I can't even get onto the site.... it must be down or something

I would like to point out that I just got an email from Gamersgate support.... want to know what it said?

To run it as an administrator & if that didn't work to ask people on Game Tutor (which I did to no success as the person just said to do the same thing) or Search the internet.... thats some brilliant insight to my problems right there. Seriously... fuck these guys.
