The only GOG game that I am aware of that contains a virus is Rayman Forever, but even then it is a virus that only affects Windows 98 machines.

ashout: first of all, i have not found any of Gogs downloads to have viruses. ever. however, on windows 7 ultimate edition IE 9, sometimes you'll download a game after buying it, and it'll say "this software is unsafe, install at your own risk" and other times, it'll be fine.

am i putting unsafe software on my computer by bypassing the warning and installing it anyway? i've already done this with several titles, and so far havn't had any problems. honestly i'd just like to know why it is my computer thinks Gogs downloads are not safe.
Short answer: no.

Uh oh ... erm, in that case I take back everything I said. Buy Sacrifice!!!
I haven't had any false alarms from AV software for GOG downloads. Using Microsoft Security Essentials.

Leroux: Most games aren't, but if I were you, I'd stay away from Sacrifice. ;)

Licurg: ,,I,
I think you broke the Licurg... O.o Somebody get IT on the line... :P
I'm fairly certain they are a false positive. Sometimes my virus scanner Avira would detect a trojan in them, but a scan with malwarebytes doesn't detect anything. When I scanned with MSE, it didn't detect anything either.

The worst you'll face is finding your productivity taking a nosedive.

Oh, and ditch IE. Use Opera, Iron, or Firefox instead.
Honestly, they have the worst virus that I've ever seen. It's something called Mycroesoft Winndoze. And it's a bugger to remove from your system once it's infected it.
