I mean this...
ScummVM gained support for The Neverhood just before Christmas. I think it's a pretty likely release.

:)
If the great adventure game is Alien Incident, I'm buying
Wait, I know what it's going to be. We know Pegasus Prime is currently in QA at GOG, it could have gotten out early, and that's probably what the game is.
I don't know why Orion Burger came to me mind.

Crosmando: "great adventure game"

Phaidox: NEVERHOOD or TOONSTRUCK CONFIRMED!
Take your pick. :)

Fever_Discordia: Another Microids/Amuman title would seem most likely - The second Dragon's Lore or DREAMS to Reality, maybe?
avatar
Phaidox: DtR belongs to a different genre (Tomb Raider-esque action-adventure). Hmm... I don't think there are any genuinely "great" adventures Microids have yet to release on GOG, we've got the most important ones covered.
Heh, well I guess it depends on whether TET meant 'Great' as in 'Alexander the Great' or 'look, you're a great girl but...'
Although Judas seemed pretty stoked in the other thread too, thinking about it!
Maybe it IS Neverhood then - is there anything left worth plundering from Sierra? Freddy Freakas maybe?

TheEnigmaticT: It's worth noting that GOG.com has pretty much always waited until the second half of January to start releasing titles after the end of the holiday sale. Don't worry, we even have lined up a great adventure game for you guys to get our classic releases started back up. Look for it tomorrow, actually. :)
Great... adventure..... game.... OMG! The legendary DOS epic ~Voyeur~ has been confirmed!

Cool. Although if it's published by Night Dive, I'll be a tad disappointed as I know it will show up on Steam 30 days later for a buck less (so I can't tell people, "Hey, that game is [exclusively] on GOG!").

EDIT: It would be kinda cool if it was actually Freddy Pharkas and I could say, "Hey, my tweet to Activision Support actually made a difference!"

Just wondered whether "The next big thing" actually was a great adventure game...
I think we can all agree that it will not be LucasArts. If it were, we would know it by now, because no one in the games journalism industry would be able to keep something like this a secret. More than likely, Pegasus Prime got out of QA early and will be ready to go tomorrow.

Why would anyone in the games journalism industry be able to get such a secret. In fact the concept of a "games journalism industry" really does flatter a bunch of shills that do nothing more than regurgitate press releases or complain about the industry because they're not on the press release regurgitation list.
