"Good old Games"

"Hey, can we have games that aren't even released yet?"
The name's not Good Old Games anymore.
Deep down, you know it is...

Deep down, where? :p

On a personal note, I've never cared about a game's age, just whether it is good or not.

I hear you. I'm just thinking that I started coming here to find games that had disappeared off the shelves. I just thought it was funny to be looking for ones that hadn't even hit them yet. It's all good :-)
If this ever happens, it will be because Blizzard is on the brink of bankruptcy and all is right with the world.

I would buy it on sale for two bucks, or if it came free with Diablo 2 Battle Chest (the real one, which comes with Diablo 1).

I don't see that happening until after WoW is shut down though

Patience, my friend. Patience.
They don't even put their games on steam let alone GOG.

just to clarify, Are you talking, waiting for the "Cyberpunk" game level of patience or waiting for Skyrim to come here level?

Well, the whole thing was a joke. I'd actually be surprised if Blizzard went bankrupt in under five years. They'd be more likely to get bought up by EA or something than they would be to come begging here, but if they have enough failures no one cares about in between, it would be slightly more possible. Like, if five years from now, everyone remembers WoW and Diablo 2 and that's it... where else would they go? Assuming that a comprehensible notion of an owner to the rights exists, at that point...

Or people could just never learn and they could go on forever.

Same here, the Skyrim bit was intended as a joke (note to self: Should have said "Half-life")

Oh. In that case, there's already a Flash version that you can play for free on your iPhone.
Yes it CAN be on gog. They can make the entire game offline, the console version is proof of that. Battle.net is just for MP so it can stay, not a big deal. Yes it's possible but they don't care enough to do that.

So in short - no, they don't really care.

For the billionth time, it's not "good old games" and hasn't been for a long time.

Also, D3's online requirements are disgusting, the game shouldn't be purchased or tolerated by anyone, anywhere.
