I like both but Cowboy Bebop is the much better of the two imo.

Licurg: Trigun is the best anime ever, and who says otherwise should be killed. Cowboy Bebop is the second best anime ever, and you must watch it as well. Never saw Champloo, so you have to ask someone else.
Trigun is good and all, but not the best. Come at me, bro.
Hajime no Ippo is the best.

Fake_Sketch: I beg your pardon, Legend of the Galatic Heroes is. Isn't that right Retsuseiba?

I still need to watch that, but it's so long. >_>

Samurai Champloo is quite good I do recommend watching it its got comedy and great action.
Cowboy Bebop is the best anime series (possibly the only actually great one ever).

Samurai Champloo is okay-ish.

Pemptus: I don't even like animu (the tropes irritate me, mostly) and I still found Cowboy Bebop pretty darn special.
avatar
DCT: Well I'm sure the fact that Cowboy Bebop is widely considered the most un-anime Anime done helped with that.
How so? while held rather highly it's still an anime and presented like one. what do you mean it's un-anime?

Also, burn me at a stake if you will, but I like Samurai Champloo more.

My top anime list includes both these, in no particular order):

Trigun
Cowboy Bebop
Samurai Champloo
Read or Die
Saiyuki (but only the first two seasons and movie, Reload and Reload Gunlock are horrid)
Monster
Hellsing Ultimate
Evangelion (OAVs and the original films only)
Claymore
Desert Punk/Sunabouzu
Elf Princess Rane
Ranma 1/2
The Big O
Dirty Pair
Cutey Honey
Giant Robo
Gigantor
Lupin III (films OR series)
The Slayers
FLCL
Welcome to NHK
Star Ocean EX
Record of Lodoss War
Dark Side Blues
Darker Than Black
Perfect Blue
Fist of the North Star
Devilman
Violence Jack
Black Jack
Vampire Hunter D & Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust (closest I'll ever to see to a Castlevania anime :( )
Dominion & New Dominion Tank Police
Grave of the Fireflies
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
Howl's Moving Castle
Mononoke-hime
I can definitely vouch for both Trigun and Cowboy Beebop. Both have really interesting storylines and, as far as I can tell, the characters don't devolve into moe or whatever weird terminology is used by the otaku to describe whatever it is they tend to be describing :D
Both Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo are brilliant and worth a watch. They both have very similar style, and Bebop is juuust slightly better IMO.
Samurai Champloo is alright. Trigun is also a must see as well. I have the box sets of both of these anime and a couple of others (Neon Genesis Evangelion etc.)

And yes, Cowboy Bebop is great (if my username didn't clue you in). Watch it.

Cowboy Bebop is great, Samurai Champloo is good.

I personally could not fully enjoy Trigun because of the Vash's "no kill" attitude. Same with Kenshin TV series (Trust & Betrayal OVAs were great.)

For the Netflix folks, I highly recommend Baccano.

I find them quite boring, but both series have a huge fan base.

TRIGUN SPOILER!!!!!!!

I, personally, found the pacifistic nature of Vash actually enhanced the story. If he had no problem killing, then the tragedy when he is finally pushed to the point in which he HAS to make that very, very, very horrible choice (which really ISN'T a choice) would have lost all impact.

His outright defiance of taking a life is something I support fully, as it is a view I take very much to heart. Violence doesn't end violence, it only extends it. It is a mindset not enough people in the world have, taking a life never fixes anything and only causes more suffering and pain. My personal views aside, as I have stated so much is built up on his defiance to fall into that social "norm" in an old west setting.

The whole story is built up around that he holds all life so dear, that the loss of even a single life is something that is truly devastating. I realize much of that was instilled in him by Rem, but it no less is part of the fiber of his very being. In conclusion, to detract from his pacifism would greatly detract from many of the Trigun's core themes and values.

/end spoiler

That being said, Cowboy Bebop is one anime that has some really really BEAUTIFUL music. While Samurai Champloo has some really unique and interesting Feudal period Japan vs. modern musical styling. Something that I can really appreciate about both series'.

l0rdtr3k: I always heard of these two anime but it never aired in Brazil(for all I know).so are they worth watching?
Cowboy Bebop, yes yes yes. I watched it subtitled, but I hear the dub isn't bad.

I've not had the opportunity to watch Samurai Champloo yet unfortunately.
I liked Black Lagoon in a similar way to Cowboy Bebop, so after you've watched CB it may fill that void at least a bit.

Hmm, I've noticed that name before. I'll take a look next time I come across it.
I'd say Bebop is a good show, but nothing amazing. It does, however, have an awesome opening theme.

Champloo never did it for me.
