It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hmmm... For the past two days, I've been trying to buy a copy of UNEpic while it's on sale, but I can't get to the darn checkout screen! I added it to my cart as usual, go to checkout and the screen HANGS there forever (well, at most, two hours of nothing). I've tried this in a few locations with wi-fi (my home connection is crap dial-up, but I've bought games here using it and downloaded them later),refreshed again and again, but NOTHING happens.

What the heck should I do? I don't want to miss this one at this price. Or am I supposed to fill my cart up before I can checkout,lol... I doubt that, but I guess I may as well add another game on my wishlist and see what happens...

Well, I added a second game and it's still hanging at checkout. Ugh. Any ideas? I've bought stuff from other sites this week (Steam, Desura,Nintendo eShop) with no issues, so this is baffling me...

Try different browser.

triock: Try different browser.
Well, I was HOPING to not have to do that, as I deleted Internet Explorer from my PC's ages ago and don't want to have at that crap browser again, but I did so and yeah, it worked. Bleh. I wonder why Firefox is a dud here all of a sudden when it's worked before with no hassles. Oh well. Two games added to the library. off to get rid of ie once more...

Thanks much, by the way!

I'm having trouble checking out too. My problem is that I CAN'T STOP CHECKING OUT! I KEEP FINDING THINGS I NEED TO BUY! HELP ME! :P
Maybe disabling some addons could also work.. a flash block or something.

Chrome would be much preferable as an alternate over IE.

I tried Chrome a while back, but it's slow as hell on a dial-up. It's pretty cool otherwise when I've used it outside the home...

Oh, that would be pretty funny, as I think I only use two or three add-ons to Firefox. That and it doesn't explain why gog was working fine the last 20 or so times I've bought stuff and downloaded with no issues. Oh well- I'll probably buy something else in a day or so and see what happens.

Maybe you could try it with a free game and see if it works...
also, GOG make some changes every big sale, then everything backs to normal again.. ;p

Precisely what add-ons would that be? I presume you're using up-to date version of Firefox. And what os and version do you use?

I'm running XP with whatever the last Service pack was. Everything is as up to date as it gets on this ancient laptop (I'm playing Remember Me on this thing and it's running fine).

Again, I've had no trouble using gog the last 20 or so times Ive gotten games and I'm actually downloading some games from Desura and Steam as I type this.I did notice that for some reason I've got a Microsoft DRM in my add-ons and I'm dying to know how it got there unless it rolled in recently and I didn't know it. I'm going to go disable everything but Java and Flash and see what happens, as now I can't even get the Downloader to run when I click on games I bought...
Ho-kay: FIXED FIXED FIXED> Just mucked around in some settings, got rid of some crap that shouldn'tkave been there, but that killed Firefox (still picking the buckshot out). In the meantime,I reinstalled Chrome and as I'm at the library here, *ding* got into my account and am downloading away. Whee.

Anyone want a pair of Firefox socks? That's all I be able to make out of that pelt... they'll have holes in them, though...
