I mean, really, I know the actress, but who is she playing? I never heard of this character before, can I get some background?

As far as I know she is playing Black Widow. An agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I thought she was going to be Black Widow, and wasn't Black Widow dating Stark at some point? So maybe it's a love interest, I really don't know anything about it though, I like to be surprised when I go in to a movie.
Before I even read the posts, I thought it was Black Widow as well.
Just saw the movie (well 3 hours ago) frigging great and i do recommend it. and can't wait for next two marvel comic book movies.
DC sux. we get like one movie per 2 years while marvel is making huge money releasing movies once per year. and they are great!

I see your Iron Man and Spider-Man and raise you X-Men: The Last Stand and Origins: Wolverine. ;)
DC has been putting out some pretty good direct-to-video animated films though.

Yeah, it was a lot of fun! Not entirely sure yet about how it compares to the first, but I enjoyed it a lot. I love how they managed to make Tony Stark's tech seem like a real superpower instead of a lame/awkward pseudo science.

loathed the suitcase armour though. have you seen how actors handled it? like it was plastic and empty.
totally killed the idea :(

In the current animated series the teenage Tony Stark has armour that folds up into a school backpack, but during its first appearance he specifically mentions that he included anti-gravity technology so that it is humanly possible to carry its significant weight on his shoulders. The explanation was brief but totally acceptable considering all the other crazy future tech in Iron Man's world, and it's a shame that the cartoon writers planned for this better than the writers of a big-budget film.

it would be passable if they made it 30 pounds heavy. so actors would struggle with it giving the armour credibility.
but nah. at one point the driver actually held it vertically.
Speaking of Iron Man 2 it just came out today and I'm so fucking pissed I didn't see it yet while everyone else did. Have to wait until after exams... :(
So, did anyone watch the post-credit scene?

Catshade: So, did anyone watch the post-credit scene?

Yes, I did. Mostly because my showing was running late due to technical issues and they decided to skip the credits. I didn't get what it was that they found until a while later (I'm not a huge Marvel fan and the thing was upside-down)
