Miaghstir: Won't work, there are different time zones on the Discworld as well (due to the magic, the light flows only very slowly over the surface).
Aliasalpha: We COULD manage it but we'd have to make a vertical assembly of the planetary surface in a single timezone width. That way we're all on a horizontal equal.
Of course it might have some consequences to the structural stability of the planet but it WOULD solve the timezone problem (one way or another)
