Join the guys in charge of GOG.com for a chat!

EDIT: The video has ended, but you can check out the recorded stream here (http://www.twitch.tv/gogcom/c/4113792), or just watch the highlights below. Thanks for participating, and be sure to leave us any comments you have on the topics we discussed below! :)

GOG.com is going live on Twitch <span class="bold">today</span> and we'd like to heartily invite all of you to join us. Our founder, Marcin Iwiński (known in the forums as <i>iWi</i>), Piotr Karwowski (<i>Destro</i>), the VP of Online Technologies, and Trevor Longino (<i>TheEnigmaticT</i>), the Head of Marketing and PR, will do their best to answer your questions while remaining at least a bit entertaining, on Tuesday April 22, 6:00PM GMT (that's 2:00 PM EDT and 11:00 AM PDT) in the [url=http://www.twitch.tv/gogcom]<span class="bold">GOG.com Official Twitch.tv Channel</span>.

This wouldn't be--of course--much of a Q&A if they didn't have any questions to answer. We count on you, dear GOGgers, to provide many interesting ones! There has been many interesting things happening around GOG.com, recently, so we're sure many of you have thing you'd like to ask us. There's a few ways to do that. You can ask your questions right here, in the forum thread below. You can sign in to the <span class="bold">Twitch live chat</span> as soon as the livestream starts, and post your thoughts and questions in there. Finally, you can tweet your question to our <span class="bold">@GOGcom Twitter account</span>, with the #GOGtwitch hashtag.

We'll be with you for at least an hour (we may end up going longer!), but that's probably still not enough time to answer all questions. We'll select just the ones we think are most common to the community as a whole, and the most interesting ones as well. After the livestream is done, we'll post a montage of its highlights with just a slight delay needed to put the thing together.

Again, we invite you to <span class="bold">GOG.com Official Twitch.tv Channel</span> today, 6:00PM GMT (that's 2:00 PM EDT and 11:00 AM PDT), and we hope you'll find time to join us. In fact, drop half an hour early to catch our Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure gameplay stream!
Is porting over to Linux going well? Do you have a more direct estimate of when the first batch of games will be released? Can you reveal any more titles?
Why are there being more and more games released that are very low on community wishlists and high rated community wishlisted games are passed over?

groze: Bah, GMT+0 during DST is still GMT+0 in my book. :P
And you're completely correct, because GMT has no summer time (or daylight savings, if you prefer that term).
Britain during DST uses BST - British Summer Time, GMT+1.

Is there a good chance we'll be getting Civilization 2 on GOG at some point?

Additionally, you recently mentioned that you would be attempting to enter the AAA market with games such as Age of Wonders 3 (and of course the Witcher series has always been part of GOG).

How successful was Age of Wonders 3 for you, and do you have any further plans to incorporate other AAA games moving forward?

Thank you for your time!

Can we expect new language packs for games that had launched on several languages on physical release, like Gothic II?
Could you bring back the CD version of Overseer as an extra? Also, add the CD version of Wing Commander IV.

BTW, currently on Twich.tv channel I see a white screen on the left. Is there something wrong?

Twitch starts at 8.00 pm Berlin time zone (Poland is the same). About white screen - your browser probably didn't load the website correctly.

true but being in summer time here we are currently GMT +1 or UTC +1 for us its pretty easy, for other countries it can be a bit more difficult to work out if you are not good with TZ's. It could be easier for some people.

Yes. But some countries view UTC as constant. The same way we do with GMT in here. For us, it's always GMT+0, the same way it's always UTC (WET). It's just GMT+0 and the DST. Which, by the way, is the Portuguese acronym for 'Doenças Sexualmente Transmissíveis', STDs.

GMT is the basic time unit in EU + the time difference. UTC is used only by government otherweise alwasy GMT. Hope that the EU parlament finally abolishes summer and wintertime non sense. It is at the moment being worked on that in the EU parlament. We should discuss this in some other thread since this one is supposed to be used only for questions for the twitch tv stream.

Ha! I love that they included Theodore "Gogbear" Fourofourski among the featured GOG staff members at their Twitch profile. That poor unhappy bear...

1:30 pm EST, so I believe that means 1/2 hour until it starts?

With what's been happening as a Humongous fan (and I figured I wouldn't be around to see it anyways, I thought I might skip this. But then I worked in the morning instead of afternoon, so I figured I'd throw out a few questions.

Honestly, though, the majority are ones GOG simply cannot answer because of NDAs and such -

"Will we be seeing a new publisher in the coming months with classics on the level of EA or Squeenix?"

"Why don't we get any more Activision releases?"

"Why isn't SimAnt here yet?"

"Could the Humongous games come if they were bundled together, like 2-3 games for 9.99?"

"Will Bethesda let us have the Fallout games again?"

"Is Gearbox actually considering releasing Homeworld here?"

"How was it that Night Dive was able to release System Shock 2 in 6 months and GOG was not for 4 years?"

"Will the current pricing situation still allow some holders of classics, not afraid of DRM-free, to bring their games here?"

"Would you theoretically be able to survive on indie games alone?"

"Why haven't we seen more new-ish AAA games, not just indies?"

Yada yada yada, stuff I know you can't answer but on the 1% chance I'm wrong I'm throwing them out there.
