I started downloading TW1, it downloaded 1062 MB and stopped. Tried unpausing and resuming without result. Killed the downloader, started it again and now it does not allow me to log in: 'Login required' window pops up all the time even if the email and password is correct.

OS: Vista 64 bit
Downloader: 0.9.0.1372
OK, just bought the Witcher and seeing as it's so large decided to try the new downloader. It installed (v1372) but refuses to accept my login and password, simply bringing up the login screen no matter what I submit. I tried changing my password (the website itself seems to be accepting my info with no problems) but this made no difference to the downloader. Any thoughts?

Same here. I guess there are problems with the servers (too much traffic), so I will try to download it later.
hello! Same problem here. I just can't log in the downloader... :(
Using 0.9.0.1372, I logged in and started to download the witcher, I downloaded around 800 mb and the Download stopped. I deleted the download and tried to start over only to receive the following error:

Cannot fetch game details, please use our contact form

Same here.
I'm getting the same error so hopefully it's just a server issue. Mine stopped at 8437/8597 mb downloaded, grrrrrr

EDIT: I also tried logging off and am unable to log back in to the GOG.com downloader.

"Login required".

Guys, please, don't force me to use something that's not working properly! I can't login neither on my old PC with Win XP Pro nor on laptop with Vista Home Basic (both 32 bit). My pass includes characters like: ! & $.

I can remember someone reported similar problem few days ago. One would have thought it's a simple thing to fix... I have an impression that you're pushing to make this new downloader official despite being not finished before releasing Witcher games. That's disappointing.

Please make it work again as soon as possible so users can enjoy old (and not so old) games without any obstacles.
Same issue with login in to the downloader (I thought I had forgot my password in the few seconds it took for me to create my account and login!)
Hello,

I'm a first-time user of GoG (been 'baited' by The Witcher offer), and what can I say, I've been pretty much alienated by the experience so far. I've been trying to download the Witcher using the downloader, but at some point in time the d/l just stopped. Pause/Resume didn't work so i choose to restart the client. This is where the problems really started for me: Now, im unable to log in (and I'm pretty sure i entered the correct login credentials). If this is a problem with the CDN, why is the downloader not able to recognize a failed attempt and simply *REPORT* it? The way it works now is the login dialog keeps re-appearing over and over again - without any hint of what's going on whatsoever.
Same here - just updated to 0.9.0.1372 and it keeps asking me to login, even though PW and email is correct.
Same problem here, can't login in the downloader.
anyway, the browser download runs fine (I'm using downloadhelper on mozilla firefox)
Got the same issue, won't login again :-S
Well, checking the logfiles for the downloader, there are lots of "Request failed (error: 500)" (one for the startup, and one more for each login attempt).
