We're happy to present a reasonably polished beta version of our latest Downloader. It's more robust than the current one and sports similar features, but the best thing about it is that it's made entirely in-house. We've got this guy who wrote it from the ground up, which means we can be a lot more flexible when it comes to fixing bugs and introducing new features (and we've got some cool ones lined up!).

Before we roll out the final release, we would like some of you guys and gals to try it out and let us know in case you encounter any problems.

Above problems are already fixed, will be pushed with the next release.

You can download the installer here:
http://static.gog.com/download/d3/beta/Setup_Downloader_3.0.24.exe

On Windows XP and Vista, the installer will automatically download the .NET Framework, if you don't have it already. Once you launch the actual app, it's much like the current Downloader, so you should feel right at home.
We will keep rolling out new versions as we remove bugs and add stuff. You will be prompted to download the latest version when you launch the Downloader, or check for updated manually (under Settings).

Let us know if you like it, or if you encounter any issues we don't know about!

Bah, why can't people post logs in a separate window otherwise it just spills over the entire forum..

Anyway, I got my eyes on this one and wanted to try it but apparently I receive an error during update which starts immediately after installation. It says it creates a log but I can't find it. What should I do? I turned off my AV and added admin rights but it didn't help.

Please try clearing the contents of the GOG.com folder in AppData:
Vista/7: C:\Users\Fallen\AppData\Roaming\GOG.com
Windows XP: C:\Documents & Settings\USERNAME\Aplication Data\GOG.com

Same problem here. I can't update nor log in. It refers me to ...AppData\Roaming\GOG.com but there is no such directory.
Although I have to admit I have only, 3.0.20 version from first post, where is the 3.0.22 one?

After I uninstall and clear the registry and a fresh install of 3.0.23 I get a prompt to login. When i do it tells me my email or password are incorrect. When i close the downloader and restart I get the error dialog and click ok and it closes out.

I had the same issue as sumone but this time at least I received a logger output as well. I'm forwarding it to your PM as well.

The log file is for the old downloader, you sure you're running the new one?

Positive, but there's no GOG.com folder in my Roaming directory.

Run or Search:
%appdata%
then hit enter (click ok)

this is the deafult area you'll find it

Thanks but I use a file manager application. Nevertheless, Fallen_Zen sent me a link to the new version and now it works, just have to download something to see that no other issues arrive. :)

EDIT: I just downloaded Soulbringer and it peaked around 10MB/s, very impressive. Option to download the extra content unless I didn't find it would be greatly appreciated.
