Don't be so negative... he can't really show you his press pass, can he? Worst case scenario. A poor wall street journal reporter's email address gets a few emails he can't place. Best case scenario: free advertisement for GoG.

I can't help it....it's in my nature to be defensive. Besides, anyone can look up a reporter on WSJ.com and use the email....

Whether the OP is, in fact, he is another matter. However, I cannot imagine what reason an impostor would have for posting such a ruse.

Should he reply, you could ask him to clarify his post a bit. I mean, he's probably looking for Americans of a certain age and with a certain income. No need for all of us to bombard him with mails, when he already knows who he's looking for.

It could be a ruse just to get your email address. Watch out for spam.

We can rule that out since we know that the address in genuine. wsj.com is Wall Street Journal.

I've received replies, I believe the man is genuine, although typically I would think they'd go another route, this does appear to be legit.
