Guys i'm posting to get to your notice a indie game on kickstarter called Interstellar Marines that i really believe deserves your guys attention, please see the kickstarter video and the one bellow before writing this off and if you like what you see consider giving a small pledge, the minimum is 1 dollar, if money is a problem you can also help by spreading the news. :)

See this video also to see what they are trying to do.

I've already backed this. I really hope they get all the money they need, and more!
Thanks :) i sure hope they get the money it needs to be made.
The game looks fairly interesting, i will have to read more in depth as I just gave it an overview.
I preordered this ages ago. I'm really looking forward to it.
Pledged
Wow, I'm definitely backing the trilogy :D
Thanks guys this game sure needs all the help it can get. :D

FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME
Seeing how long this project of theirs has been in the pan, I'm not all that optimistic. This should give anyone pause.

Why should that give anyone pause, they explain the reason for the long development on the kickstarter video, if that is not enough for you, then they nor i can do anything about it, with the kickstarter money they will be able to finally kick the development of the game further so deterring people from helping will not make this game coming faster, btw i must say this, they have been a very open team to the community even going to the lengths of telling us they add to stop working, sometimes weeks, on the game because of lack of money, we all know the money we put into it is risk, but this guys have shown that they don't give up, and have the talent and the will to do what they claim, they also gave us full and undisclosed access to all IM development fazes, i don't know game developers more deserving of the help then this guys, hum maybe the wolfire guys.

p.s - ZPS has also confirmed the support for the Oculuc Rift if the campaign is successful. :)

I backed this too with what I got back from the failed Nexus 2 campaign, hope this game's fate will be better.

Only thing though, they're going to release it DRM-free on Steam, which can be considered a contradiction interminus.

Why not here?
Only they know why but maybe they think their game has better chances on a bigger platform like steam? But if the community push's for a GoG version they will do it and maybe even a Desura version, they just need to know there's a demand for it, has a small team they have limited resources to manage PR on all different platforms.
I couldn't help thinking in space marines.

Does it say DRM-free on Steam? In the backer rewards it says:

"on STEAM and as a DOWNLOADABLE DRM-free version when it is finished. "

It says a DRM-free version in addition to the Steam version.
Yes SirPrimalform that's right they will have a true DRM free version in addition to the steam version just for the record the steam version will not have any other DRM but the default steam one.

BTW update from ZPS :)

Tomorrow is Total Biscuit day

Tomorrow, we will be interviewed by The Cynical Brit and frag him on the Deadlock servers, so we've decided to make an update to Deadlock in order to get the Operations map back online.

You are of course ALL invited to join the servers and we can't wait to get some intense action going!

Although we're not entirely clear on when it's going down, it's probably going to be around 18:00-21:00 CET (12:00-15:00 PM EST). We'll announce the exact time when we know on our Facebook page.

That's all for now – thanks to all of you who have supported us thus far and let's keep the ball rolling!

FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME,
Kim (ZPSHicks) & Mikael (heks)
