I wonder how many people paid them thinking that they will get a game when it's done like on Kickstarter...
Actually it's BEEEEP

AWESOME !!!! I WANT ONE!!!!
I'm wondering why those guys are still at iply too, it's weird, Herve must have them under some form of mind control =P

The Chris guy apparently is the creator of the SPECIAL system in Fallout, God knows why he didn't jump ship to InXile or Obsidian (or hell anywhere!) years ago...

I'm telling you, after that "Old-School RPG by Brendsa Braithwaite" and other crap, truth is really stranger than fiction

lol..you got to wonder if anyone read this very important document before donating...lol

Basically they will take your money and not promise crap=) You MAY get access to the forums if ENOUGH FUNDS are raised...lol...should enough money not be made...the forums will not be created and refunds will be issued MINUS costs, 3rd party costs, etc...so basically they can just say they spent all the money and there was not enough to refund to anyone...

This stuff is hilarious...and people are stupid enough to donate $150 for a company that does not have any of the great members from the old black isle days...

rampancy: Oh, I'm sure it's perfectly legal; it's just not ethical. At any rate this is little more than just another glorified Kickstarter scam.
What do you mean "another", have there been lots of glorified scams on kickstarter? Is anyone glorifying this? I doubt its even a scam, they probably really mean it, kinda sad.
Heh, someone on Indiegogo made a $2 million 'kickstarter' to buy Interplay's majority shares.
Haha, I forgot Interplay was even a public company

aluinie: Black isle is dead the original guys who made the games are long gone they should just have set up a new studio name.
You could say that about Blizzard as well. And probably quite a few other game companies. I think that until 3DR went under, it was mostly them and iD that were still being run by more or less the original people. Or at least that still had founding members working there.

The games industry does not do very well at retaining talent.

That person may want to edit their post and take off the fact that Interplay did not make Warcraft=) They only published it in Europe.

edit: well I guess he does say their games include....but...I would not really even go that far.

For $20 I can ask them what they had for lunch?! Sign me up!!!
Hmmm...I need to find a way to get the Microprose name and logo then create a forum and start my own kickstarter charging the same amounts to have the possibility of making a game...and heck on top of that you can have access to forums and we MAY respond to you=)

Got to love there thinking...great new way to make money without promising crap.
Does that site work correctly? I had to go the invested.in site to see how much people were fooled out of their money with this.
If for whatever dumb-luck reason the game they describe gets released & is good I probably will buy it.

These guys (or rather just that Harve dude) have to realise that they/he needs a good reputation first for Obsidian/InExile/Chris Roberts style massive crowdfunding.
So...what exactly is this for anyway?

Just some shitty forum badge? Some "project" that might become a "game" in the future and you dont even get the game?

What exactly are you giving money for?
