What would really be great is if I could unload the JA 2 I do have. :P If I'd known I'd hate the game that much I never would have redeemed that code.

I am going to leave this thread open for at least the next 12 hours, and then calculate all optimal solutions. The metric is "maximum amount of individual recipients, with minimum amount of games redeemed per recipient". From these solutions, one will be picked randomly, if there is more than one. No, I'm totally not overengineering this. Source code will be made available, in case someone else would like to do something similar. *hint* *hint*

Then I'll post the list here, with the games each person is supposed to redeem (for informational purposes, not that you could choose), and send this recipient list with the gift code and some instructions to the first person on the list as a PM. Each recipient is then supposed to redeem the code, and forward the PM to the recipient listed after himself, like in (good?) old chain-mail times, just without the needless list shuffling.

I'll personally have the fun watching game after game being redeemed in my gift code list, and knowing that some of you will have some great games to enjoy! :D

Not necessarily, you'd just possibly end up at the very end of the chain, and redeem one or two games "only".

Unless I tweak the algorithm a bit to favour those who don't already own a shitload of these games. As it stands now, you're almost guaranteed to get a game if only one is missing, as this favours an optimal solution in the terms I have set.

With the current "wishlists", I have a single, almost optimal solution. All but one get exactly one game they wanted from the list, with another one (randomly drawn) getting the remaining two games. Fascinatingly, no-one spoke up yet who has exactly one of those two games and would want the other!

Now I'm really curious who else shows up until next morning, but at least I'm positive this can be sorted out and make at least 8 of you a tad bit happier.

Bonus points if you can deduce which two games I'm talking about. ;)
