BEEP - very good.

Physical puzzle platformer with some shooting. Very cutesy graphics. Good level design. The BEEP feels a little 'floaty', but it is a matter of getting used to the controls. Recommended.

I was wondering if anyone know anything about Chester. Looks interesting.

Be aware that BEEP is available as part of the Groupees Be Mine bundle and a much better deal, assuming you're OK with Steam.

It's one of the 3 games in that bundle that has DRM-free downloads as well as Steam keys.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I already have BEEP as part of the Be Mine bundle, but I did not try it yet. Might try it tonight, thanks. I generally prefer DRM-free over Steam but I think a DRM-free version of BEEP was included.

Yeah, Chester looks nice, too bad there isn't a demo. Even if it's 30% off, without a chance to try it first,I think at that price I'd rather get a GOG (I'm that stingy :P). That's the downside of not rejecting games, you never know how polished the games are and if they're worth the asking price. I bet there are some pretty bad apples among them but you never know until you tried them.
For anyone interested:

I wrote a mail to Indievania and asked how long the Launch Sale will run and the answer was "until Wednesday".

I bought "Metal Dead" on the site, and instead of trying to download a setup exe, it tries to download a .1 or .11 document. Any idea why it isn't working?

This site looks pretty cool, and I tried a demo of the TV game, and it looked pretty cool.

I've had this happend to me during the sites beta. Just contact the developers by email to sned you a exe file to download.
Artist/Coder of Metal Dead here, just sent you an email Fantasysci5. Thanks for all the support. :D

Not sure where thebum06 got his information from. All paypal takes is 5% + 5c from each transaction. The devs get the rest. Jeez, if it was 30c I don't think I'd be able to feed myself. lol

Apparantly the fees differ for European countries, there were a few guys in the developer forum talking about this issue.

Where did you get your numbers from? Is there a special micropayment facility that I don't know about? The best rate that Paypal claims to offer for is 2.4% + 30c.

edit: I followed Leroux's link - apparently they do have a 5c plan, but only some people seem to be eligible. Europeans appear to be stuck with 1.9% + 0.35 Euro - yikes!

Leroux: Inside A Star-filled Sky was recommended to me by jefequeso and it looks like an original artistic concept and an interesting experience but I'm still on the fence about whether I would enjoy playing it.
Which is totally fine. It's not a game for everyone--and I don't say that in a condescending "oh, you're just not SOPHISTICATED enough to understand it" way. There are some parts of its design that I could see being really offputting to some people. The biggest thing you need to be aware of is the style of combat (which I think I touched on when I suggested the game to you). Not smooth or arcadey by any means. The game is far more like a emergent puzzler than a shooter, actually.

Just went on to check the site. I wish I would have waited a bit to release my game, because now that the site is (probably) getting more traffic, it's midway down the "new releases" list. Ahh, well... at least now Indievania might start growing. Thus far it hasn't done nearly as well as it seems they wanted it to. Then again, if it HAD been doing well, I probably wouldn't have been accepted :3. Yay for low standards!

Getting my numbers from whats coming out of each paypal payment I'm getting. It's been that rate since we released the game in Dec 2011. Kinda sucks that the rates seem to be different for other regions.

wait...your page actually shows how much you've made from sales? Mine doesn't seem to work right :P. I've made something like $4 (...yay...), according to paypal, but Indievania still claims I haven't gotten any money. Might have to do with having the game be "free or pay what you want," though.

Well it's great that you're getting a good deal, at least. I'm going to go quickly check out your indievania trailer before going to bed. Congrats on your game and good luck on future endeavours.
