I played Planet Stronhold, but not the others.

It has jRPG-like combat with cRPG mechanics added in, like classes, choices, use of skills to try to avoid combat, etc...

I liked it, but I didn't feel it was really worth the $20 I paid for it, considering I can find games with much higher production value for much cheaper on sale.

I have plenty of money to blow on video games so that doesn't bother me, but I wouldn't recommend that bundle to anyone on a tight budget.

Not knowing how to price their games appropriately or when to put things on sale to get more money out of potential buyers who are on the fence is one of the weaknesses of indies imo.
They price their games according to the effort they put in them, without taking into account the competition, therefore limiting themselves to a niche market.
It's a shame imo because if it was sold for $5 or so, I would definitely recommend Planet Stronghold to anyone who isn't absolutely repulsed by jRPG mechanics.

SirPrimalform: Gemini Rue is $7.50, the visual novels are $10 each and Planet Stronghold is $12.50.
Except if you're European (I notice you're from the UK, so I don't know why you're seeing the American prices). The prices I'm seeing are:

Bionic Heart: €9.31 ($13.46)
Planet Stronghold: €11.70 ($16.91)
Gemini Rue: €6.98 ($10.09)
Date Warp: €9.28 ($13.41)

Total Price: €37.27 ($53.87)

That includes 25% VAT, which I guess the Americans don't have to pay, but it's still more expensive for Europeans.

Use Ultrasurf for your convenience, droog. That circumvents all those regional restrictions.
Any information about DRM? Some of these look interesting :)

Also, I noticed Planet Stronghold has a Linux version.. do you get that too?

Wadjet Eye Games (aka Mr Dave Gilbert) is a master of storytelling and innovative puzzles, and every one of his games have a beautiful art style going for them.

The rest of the games on the bundle look like absolute dogshit.

I don't know about the bundle versions, but when I bought them separately Bionic Heart and Date Warp had no DRM. I'm also pretty sure Gemini Rue had no DRM either. Planet Stronghold had an online activation prior to playing. All of these games (not sure about Gemini Rue) have Linux versions, but I don't know if you get them with the bundle. Just ask the guy from Winter Wolves - he always responds to questions from customers.
I have to say - Gemini Rue is running like a champ in Crossover. Me like mucho!

If you set the payment method to Paypal it changes to USD, but still with VAT. Then I put hotspot shield on. >.>
Interesting deal, I had heard about Gemini Rue but I haven't played it yet, may take a look at snatching these games.

On a side note, I found an interesting blog entry on the site.

beliar: he always responds to questions from customers.
Fired off an email and will post the response here :)

Thanks
Was asked by email by an user and what beliar posted is correct: no game uses DRM, 3 of them have fullversion download while Planet Stronghold uses one-time online activation.
Gemini Rue is Windows only, but all other games have also Mac/Linux versions: just email us if you want those as well :)

(in case of Planet Stronghold you can just download the Linux demo and activate it - it uses your order email to activate).

Hope your questions are satisfied and someone is interested in the bundle! thanks

jack_norton: Planet Stronghold uses one-time online activation.
That's DRM, you just contradicted yourself.
Well, if we want to be picky, explain the difference between:
- get link to download fullgame by email
- enter the email in the demo you already have installed and be done with it

all my user prefer the 2nd system since they can play instantly after trying the demo and buying it :)

I think by "one time", he means you activate it and get a serial number and then that works forever, even offline.

I wasn't expressing an opinion on it, just stating the fact that online activation is DRM and therefore you can't call Planet Stronghold DRM-free.
