Picked it up because I picked up the other three, and didn't want to break the streak. Plus some of the game look cool, and the only one I already have is BPE.
And it's the first time I've picked up an IR for $3.50 in over a year...

You can find "Beware Planet Earth!" on our website: www.lightmare-studio.com !
You can download and try the demo first and you'll see that BPE is quite different from PvZ ! :D
Have fun!

In games like BPE! you need to be more tactical about which towers to build in which positions. It is more comparable to, for example, Defenders Quest here on gog, or something like "The Protectors", "Cursed Treasure" or Sol Survivor series of games.
While I think PvsZ is a good game, I do prefer these types of TD games, they are more tactical and, I think, more varied to play. In PvsZ you tend to build in exactly the same pattern for each map.

Eh, okay. Glad to see there are direct download and Desura keys for everything at least. None of the games really appeals to me though, even at the bargain price. Ah well, more time for my backlog. :)

I only have ASA from the list... but it's also pretty much the only title I'd be interested in, so that's a pass for me.
I can safely recommend ASA to any Myst-style game fans, although GOG rejected it for some reason, so I supposed it doesn't meet the high standards set by gems like Slender or something [/rant]

And BPE actually shares some of PvZs elements besides the art style - you can only pick several tower types to bring into a level, and your money comes from special resource towers instead of killing enemies.

Yah, fine with me in cases like this, because when I get Desura keys I redeem them myself, even when there is a download link. I like having the game on my Desura shelf where it's easier to track updates. My main relief is that it's not a Steam-only bundle or similar. Even if I'm not buying it, I like to see bundles going the DRM-free route.

Yeah, I agree. BPE and PvZ are alike but also different. BPE is more about tactic, while PvZ is more about grinding. I spend more time on PvZ because of the grinding, but at the end both are nice games. But BPE is at the moment much cheaper. :)
But I already got it. But Bollywood Wannabe and Undead Legions where for me the reason to spend a few bucks.
