I pass this one -.-. Though the Blackwell is worth.

ovoon: Hmm, I'll pass on this one. Blackwell looks pretty good but the voice acting gets to me.
avatar
PenutBrittle: I'm not sure which version has the voice acting you're referring to, but this release did have a lot of voice acting redone.

I don't think it's that bad, honestly. I've only found one character I thought was badly voiced, and she wasn't in it long.
I watched the trailer, and it was pretty dang bad.
If someone is worried about bundles being bad for indie developers:

They sold over 16k bundles for now. Let's say for 3 euros (current minimum 3.11 euro)

And developer of the Oil Blue said that 15k is x35 he sold on his own. 15k / 35 = about 430

430 x 14.95 (price on his website, and I don't bother with promo sales) - almost 6430 $ (dollars, not euro) - in 18 months.

If he gets 0.5 euro from every bundle sold, he already earned 8000 euros. In 12 hours.

I think that numbers speak for themselves.

Yeah, but Ive read article where someone stated "game bundles are bad for indie developers who are not in the bundle" They even used "we are 99 per cent" argument bullshit.

I respond: who cares? If your game isn't good enough to sell on its own, try to make / participate in a bundle.

It's strange implicating that EVERYONE should earn money on making games.

Not everyone gets included in a bundle. It's good for the devs included, not so much if you're not. A lot of people don't buy indie games anymore just in case they wind up in a bundle one day. I can definitely see how it would hurt a dev who isn't in the indie bundle circle.

Wonderful for those lucky enough to make it into a bundle, not so much if you aren't.

So what?

Not every baker sold his bread. Is this a bad thing? No.

It appears that bundles are the best option for selling indie games. Period.

Cause if i see an indie game made in RPG maker being sold for 20$ I'm just amused.
Not every game is good enough to be sold. It's natural. Bundles are not harming them, they just show them the truth.
And since Internet came, nobody's forcing anybody from launching it's own bundle.

Just because somebody made some game it doesn't mean he will get ANY profit from it. Most likely the game isn't good enough. Lot's of indie games sold pretty well without any bundles.
It's just like saying "making game sales is bad for developers who are not included in the sale, because nobody buys their games during the sale" C'mon.

$20 Rpg Maker game sold more on its first day than the Oil Blue did before this bundle. Nothing amusing about that, or some of the others that have been on the top 100 lists at BigFish.

Well, right now I hear that there are too many bundles, which obviously means that more and more developers are included.

Anyway, I'd never spend as much as I did on indie games, if they were not bundled.

Actually, I'm going to buy Legend of Grimrock. I was interested in Trine (but not for full price), Machinarium (which I bought, and this is the only one time when I bought indie game not bundled), I was slightly interested in Osmos & Eufloria, as well as Blackwell games and Gemini Rue.

But those games were avaiable for a long time, and nothing pushed me to buy them (except Machinarium). Although when it comes to the bundles, I bought almost all HIB and all RoyalBundles up to date, and I spent some good money on those. Money which would probably never be seen by indie developers.

Well, if they sold their games for 20 bucks, good for them. I was speaking mostly about people who make an RPG game and then complain about nobody's buying it. There are plenty reasons, but price is often the most important.
Bought for BlackWell games alone. Actually dropped $10 since I was feeling the Hanukkah Spirit :)
Hanukkah Matata!
Holy crap! The Indie Royale guys featured my mini review on their Twitter!

I'm not trying to brag, I'm just ridiculously elated right now. Floating on a freaking cloud here.
Does anyone have a spare Desura key of this bundle, I can offer Serious Sam Double D Steam code for it.

avatar
danteveli: Only one I'm interested is that Blackwell but I hope someone that doesnt use Desura will share the key
avatar
summitus: I dont use Desura you can have mine if you want it.
You still have it?

Oh, I see a new bonus game: GreenTech+. It's from the same developer of The Oil Blue.
From twitter:
All Xmas Bundle buyers can now download the three .MP3 soundtracks for @wadjeteyegames' Blackwell Trilogy: Remastered - enjoy!
