blakstar: I don't know if some of these games will be made available separately at any point, but when I tried clicking "Direct Download" for "March of the Eagles", which was labelled as Steam-only, it said that the game would be available for direct download "soon".

I've got no idea if that's just standard text for Desura, since I don't really use it, or whether it really will be available for direct download.
I believe it's the standard text for anything that doesn't have a download. Still, the reply I got implied they were trying to get it added properly.
i got an answer from them :

here what they say ;

"The games are still available for Desura, Desura just doesn't show up on the
preview page."

well , just lol

DyNaer: i did too :p , will see...

SirPrimalform: In the reply they said "the game is available via Desura" which... isn't really true considering you have to actually download and play the game through Steam. The game is on the Desura database and can be bought through Desura, but given that all you get is a Steam key and a shortcut to Steam it's a bit disingenuous to say the game is available in the bundle "via Desura" (which implies that you can actually get the content from Desura).

Now we can all realise our dreams of clicking on the game in Desura, which will then launch Steam which will launch the game.
Heh, if someone sells Desura keys for this through some other client we might get the record for the most chained clients launching a game.

EDIT: For clarity!
Agreed. What's the point of calling a steam-only game as a Desura game?! Until this bundle, they weren't calling steam-only games as Desura games on their tweets. And I try to keep my Desura games as steam-free as possible (I have no Steam-only games on Desura!) so whenever there is a steam-only game on IR bundles, I simply do not buy it. It seems that, from now on, I have to analyze every game on IR bundles before buying. Memo to myself: Never trust "all Desura games" tweets from IR!

Well in that case I'm experiencing a weird bug, because when I try and play March of the Eagles it just tells me to register it on Steam!

Did you get that reply in an email or on twitter or something? I kind of want to reply to it...

e-mail , doesn't have a twitter account :)

but march of the eagles is Steam only :/ preview or not. Basicaly yes the game is avaible on Desura , but on Desura it states you a need a Steam account (well you already said this earlier)

Yeah... did you buy the bundle? Because I think you should complain about the "strange bug" if you got it. Maybe then they'll realise it's not on Desura?

I don't blame you!

They're all available for purchase there, but you can't actually get March of the Eagles through Desura itself...

I missed this edit. Yeah, I was feigning ignorance/confusion to try and make a point. I know it's Steam only, I was just saying what I'd say in reply to that email you got:

"The games are still available for Desura, Desura just doesn't show up on the
preview page."

If I got that reply I'd say I was experiencing a strange bug, almost as if the game wasn't really on Desura...

EDIT: Sorry if I confused you, I think there was some sarcasm (directed at IR) that didn't come across in my post. I understand the actual situation perfectly. ;)

Well, i just checked ;) if all was present on Desura store (not the client i don't use this crap) , but yeah it's probably just a key, so it's misleading in some way.

edit : oh, but don't be sorry , you didn't confuse me , it's indieroyale which had confused me (lied?/) at first ;)
