Lending doesn't create two permanent copies. Maybe the person you lend it to buys it themselves. Whatever, I don't loan my games but I'm not going to shout at those who do. (And is loaning a copy really against any EULAs? Maybe for newer games on PC, but most definitely not for consoles.)
Giving them a full copy of the game they can download forever, while keeping a copy for yourself, that's a
very different thing. Particularly when the companies (nicely!) ask you not to do it.
