If you lend a game to a friend, two people are using the product, only one paid. You ripped off the small studio. They are gonna die now.

It's insane. There's nothing moral about ripping off a tiny company and handing out their work for free. Yeah, Telltale is doing ok for itself, but the others are pretty tiny, niche studios who would probably like to be paid for their work like any other job.

This isn't shades of grey, this is just trying to rationalize greed and entitlement.

Again - it's the same as lending a game or a movie to a friend. You may argue that's not the same thing, but in the end - two people played (watched), only one person paid. From publisher's end it's the same thing.

Lending doesn't create two permanent copies. Maybe the person you lend it to buys it themselves. Whatever, I don't loan my games but I'm not going to shout at those who do. (And is loaning a copy really against any EULAs? Maybe for newer games on PC, but most definitely not for consoles.)

Giving them a full copy of the game they can download forever, while keeping a copy for yourself, that's a very different thing. Particularly when the companies (nicely!) ask you not to do it.

Certainly not equal. Lending might lead to another sale. Both people already owning a full copy won't.

If someone buys this and doesn't need Puzzle Agent 2 Steam key, I'd be very glad to take it off your hands. I played the first one through when it was in one of these bundles, and really liked it. I'm a cheapskate though, and wouldn't want to pay more than 4 euros for the "sequel", since it will probably be something around 2 euros on the upcoming Christmas Steam sale .I have no interest whatsoever in any of the other games in the bundle, which would make purchasing the bundle a bit of a waste in my mind.

Okay lets say I buy a Xbox game.. and it just so happens it comes with a ps3 copy for free... I do not have a ps3 so one copy is useless.. And I give that ps3 copy to a friend who owns a ps3..

I gave him the ps3 copy because it is useless to me.. I bought the game for the Xbox.. I personally do not use desura for buying games that I can get on steam.. So what am I going to do with Desura keys...?? put them in some .txt file never to be seen again?

Two people - I didn't hand this off to the entire net like whoever did that dirty thing with the first two Humbles.

How do you know that either of those two people have not previously contributed to other bundles and have been top donators? Wouldn't it be fair to allow them to miss one?

It's not like Carnival's Alternate Royal where I'm handing off an unlimited supply freely.

Just forget about them. We're not talking about distributing food or health services, here, it's just video games. That's a first-world commodity, not something vital that MUST be used.
I got a key for Sam & Max (which I already owned) from one of the precedent Indieroayle bundles.
I checked the FAQ to see if I could give it away. Turns out I can't. Well, therefore I'll never use it.

I have no idea if they can afford them or not, but I am not going to start giving them games. It is not a human right to have the games from the last humble bundle, it is a luxury.

Well, that's ultimately what happens.

What most people have been doing is waiting several months after that particular bundle finishes and then trade them.

This keeps from distracting from the bundle sale and since the keys are no longer easy to acquire they have more trade value.

I just jumped the gun today because I wanted to ditch the bundle page and never look back.
