It's funny that a lot of those moocher sympathizers are the first to deride pirate sympathizers. At least the conventional pirates' version of copyright infringement doesn't put a strain on the distributors' resources.

Tiefood: So What I am I supposed to do with two copies of the same thing...? If I go buy a hot dog from a hot dog selling stand.. and get one free... how is it wrong to give that hot dog to a friend who couldn't buy a hotdog?
Hot-dog places do not have a policy against that. Indieroyale does. It's that simple.
I'm quoting their FAQ again: "Indie Royale bundles are strictly for personal use only. Sharing Steam keys because you already own a game in the bundle is not allowed. The same applies for Desura keys. If your friend wants a bundle you should gift them or they can purchase it themselves.
The idea behind Indie Royale bundles is to support indie games, we always offer excellent games at a price you cannot beat - so please recognize this and support the developers participating by buying your own bundle."
And there you have it. There really is no discussion possible. Sharing keys, no matter how or for what reason, is not allowed. I'm not even considering moral implications or anything, just that simple fact.

Pretty sure for The Dream Machine it is only the 3 released chapters in the bundle, the missing part 4 and 5 are still to be made and not part of the bundle offer.
Also.. The topic derailed quite a lot sooo to contribute I for myself don't give or trade keys unless A : I don't want the game or B : I already own it from a previous purchase.. Quite wrong to keep the DRM free copy and deal about the activation keys that i can only say!

Foxhack: Uh, I didn't get Hinterlands.
There's an entry in the Steam database for Children of the Nile and Hinterland, but I only got a Nile key. The heck?
Pheace: I don't think Cotn: Enhanced edition is supposed to include Hinterlands, it's a completely seperate game, part of the tilted mill collection. There's an entry in the Steam database for Children of the Nile and Hinterland, but I only got a Nile key. The heck?

carnival73: Looking at both Steam and Desura they both offer the Enhanced edition. Royale is promoted by Desura so, more than likely, Desura updated their Nile before beginning this bundle.
Pheace: So, you really have no idea what the difference is, but assume the Steam version is the lesser one? As for Nile, what I'm saying is that both Niles are the enhanced edition and if Desura previously didn't have the enhanced edition, they do so now and it only makes sense that they would upgrade their own copy since Royal is their baby.

I think the enhanced edition is the only version there still is. Their website certainly lists only the enhanced edition for most websites. The expansion (Alexandria) only seems to be available from Steam/Impulse. I have no idea what they mean by the Immortal Children of the Nile build, they use that name here and there (2008 etc) but it should be interchangeable from what I can tell, really odd.

Bingo. I've been preaching this myself for years now. There have been plenty of demonstrations of this in sci-fi and conspiracy fiction where authority is left to robots whom are only programmed to see things in black and white.

I got Hinterlands from my steam Indie Royale key. I wasn't even aware that it's part of the pack, but both games showed up on my list. Play Feeble Files, dude :D That's some Orwellian themed game, pretty neat story.

jamyskis: The high-horsing I see going on here is absolutely disgusting, and I really expected better of this forum.
So, not copyright infringing and, you know, actually paying for thing is being all high and mighty? Fine, I quite like it up here on this horse. Personally, I think quite the opposite is disgusting myself but I've abstained from insults to get that point across. jamyskis: Riiiiight...because it's not against the will of EA or Activision that you sell your copy of Xbox 360 FIFA 12 or Modern Warfare 3 when you're done with it is it, and it's not against the will of said companies for you to lend your games to friends, is it?
I think there's a bit of a difference between EA and the tiny studio behind Adventure Apes, and neither FIFA 12 or Modern Warfare 3 allow you to hand off one copy while keeping the other for yourself. Lending? I don't have an issue with it. Duplicating a game so now there are two people with permanent copies? Fuck you, quite frankly. jamyskis: It's never been about following the letter of the law, it's about being FAIR. It's about having a well-adjusted moral compass. If we always did precisely what the other person told us to do to the detriment of our own interests, the world would be a truly horrible place to live in.
And my well adjusted moral compass prefers to compensate those who provide entertainment for me. Because I'm not selfish and greedy, and my own self interests aren't "rip off small studios and get games for free". jamyskis: I'm seriously wondering how many of the moral crusaders going on about how wrong it is to give out keys to a bundle and how they are depriving devs of money download abandonware, lend games to friends, and buy and sell used games on consoles (and sometimes PC, as far as it is still possible).
I haven't done any of those things before, but thanks for the veiled attack on my credibility. But whoops, looks like can continue taking levels as a lawful good moral crusader.amok
