Depths is good and pretty unique, well worth the bundle alone..Someone needs to nudge a bundle to include Din's Curse next.

No link??

I looked at the link above from the kind person from UK showing a bit about DoP and I'm sold on that one alone. Depending on price, I'd buy this bundle for that game and consider the others bonuses, but I don't know this site and while I suppose I could google it I just think it's kind of polite to place a link if you're going to make a post like this.

I'm sorry, but I've just never been into Diablo like RPG's. I'm more into Gothic like RPG's, Fallout, Fallout 3, BaK, PST, Morrowind.

This looks more like Diablo, Darkstone, Divine Divinity, type of stuff.

Am I making sense as to the difference???

Sorry if I'm not. I know it when I see it LOL. Just don't know how to explain it.

ADDED IN EDIT: BTW, what does the term "Platformer" mean when referring to video games??? Thanks.

Heh, just this weekend I was trying out demos of Soldak Entertainment's games and thought about how awesome it would be if they'd show up in an indie bundle like IR. Maybe I'm a psychic after all. :D

To tell the truth, I was really hoping for Kivi's Underworld, but at this price Depth's of Peril might be worth a try, too, all the more when it comes paired with the stuff from Radiangames, since I enjoyed Super Crossfire a lot.

I had mixed feelings about the last bundle, since none of the games worked on my netbook and so far I've only played a bit of Alien Zombie Megadeath, which is okay, while the others I either couldn't get into or they were not compatible even with my desktop PC (and it's not as if they're so modern and superior that you'd expect to need a powerful gaming rig to play them; Hack, Slash, Loot I'm looking at you, you sluggish excuse for a game >:( ) This one has very similar games in it again (tower defense, arcade shooters, platformer, hack and slash RPG) and I'm kind of missing the point-and-click adventures, but I'll give it another try, if only to support Soldak and Radiangames.

While it does indeed have quite a few similarities to other hack & slash games (and thus might not be for you), it is also part strategy/management game. Depth of Peril is an interesting game, and if you are on the fence on it, I would recommend at least giving it a try, you might like its odd mix of things.

Platformer: Think Super Mario Bros (2d platformer) or Super Mario 64 (3d platformer).

Are you saying Hack, Slash Loot doesn't work on your netbook? I have a standard HP netbook and it runs fine.

Literally, it's "jumping from platform to platform." Lots of old-school 2d games like Mario and Mega Man are like these, and 3D versions of the above, or things like the new Prince of Persias. But it's not just platforms, it's also spikes and bullets and flames and crushing ceilings and so on. Usually the goal of a platformer is to avoid obstacles and get to the end of the level unharmed. Fighting may (or may not) be involved.

It seems I'm not the only one here ;-) I always wanted to try Depths of Peril and while I'm not really into Tower Defense games, Unstoppable Gorg looks also very interesting to me (at last the trailer). Very interesting bundle.

OK, thank you.

I do know what Super Mario Bros is, my son played it on the Nintendo I used to go to sleep with that music in my head, but I'm still not sure what it means to be a platformer.

What is it about SMB that makes it a platformer??? The fact that when you die, you start over? Almost like an old quarter arcade game in the mall? Or is it something else??

Sorry for the ignorance. Just trying to learn as much as I can.
