Dear diary, today zombies ate my boss.

Zafehouse: Diaries, an innovative game mixing zombie survival horror and interactive fiction to create an immersive and complex experience, is available 60% off today on GOG.com. That's only $3.99 for the next 24 hours!

Zafehouse: Diaries offers some really interesting mechanics to give the zombie apocalypse theme in an original and involving approach. You'll find yourself in charge of a small group of survivors, trapped in a secluded small town full of the ever-hungry undead. The characters will have their own goals, skills, weaknesses, likes, and dislikes so you'll have to take good care of the groups integrity. You'll either survive together or die a lonely gruesome death. Every action you take and decision you make becomes a part of your diary--a work of interactive fiction that writes itself as you play. When your story comes to an end (whatever it may be), you can share it with your friends. Here's the best part: you may customize every character in the group, from name, stats and occupation, down to a profile photo. This means you can face the zombie hordes in the the good company of the people you like. Or you can have the likeness of your boss always do the reconnaissance, and be the first to be gutted. Good times. Dark, but good.

When the inevitable zombie apocalypse comes you'll find yourself much better prepared to face it, if get into Zafehouse: Diaries today, for only $3.99 on GOG.com. The offer lasts until Thursday, June 6, at 9:59AM GMT.

G-Doc: Just one thing from me: IMHO anyone who enjoyed King of Dragon Pass will have a great time playing this one as well. :-)
Looks like you just sold me on this one Doc. Damn you for knowing my likes and weaknesses. *Shakes fist in air* (then heads for check-out hangdoggedly)
Not a bad promo especially for that price. I haven't played the game with the latest patch (that arrived about a week ago), but before that the game had some balancing issues; don't know the current situation. But anyway, a fun game for a handful of playthroughs until the random events start to become too familiar.
Pretty good game, much better than I thought it would be. Picked it up from the Mighty Bundle a few months ago. Legitimately surprised that nobody else here seemed to.
I think this is the game that had a few bugs in it a while back, hoped they fixed em. It's like a visual novel if I recall correctly.
I want this game Soooooo bad!! It's on my wishlist too. Figures, burn through my cash and the last minute the game I really want the most goes on sale XD.
I was very curious about this title and having since played King of Dragon Pass I can say this was definitely an instant buy. Seriously, I'm sometimes still amazed at being able to buy a full game for 4 bucks; spent more on a footlong at subway for Christ's sake.
Haven gotten this game today as a gift Thanks Bigs +1 I can only encourage others to get it I love it. The mechanics are turn based and easy to understand a must for turn-based strategy and Zombie lovers ;) there is even micromanagement with emotions and relationships. there is also two types of games 1st is time based where you have to find something in a given time period or loose 2nd (my favourite) you have to find and repair a car in your own time so no limit on turns. Go for it if this even sounds remotely good as I can't do it justice;)

Footlong also doesn't ask you to invest a pretty decent amount of your time into it and you're definitely going to enjoy it.

Besides all the former does is go in one end and come out the other. The latter definitely has more staying power. ;)

LOL, I bought the mighty bundle, but I read your post too late. Oh, well. It's never bad to support such a great service as GOG.
Awesome, had been keeping an eye on this little guy.
I got this at full price and it was well worth it if you like this type of game. At 3.99 that's a steal.
Anyone know how this compares with the flash games Rebuild and Rebuild 2?
Well, I bought the game. My first round, I got four out of five of my survivors eaten by zombies within just two turns. On the bright side, the last guy did survive until mid afternoon, so I guess that's a thing.

Is there some sort of award for most incompetent playthrough ever? Because I'd have that in the bag.
