Intelligent ecosystem design.

Reus, a unique environmental puzzle game with charming 2D graphics, amazing complexity, and a strong god-game feeling, is available 50% off on GOG.com. That's only $4.99 for the next 24 hours!

What does a planet feel? What does it want? What does it dream about when it falls into a millennia-long slumber? Does the planet love the creatures living upon its surface? Does it care for them? Seeing that this particular planet musters-up its live force to sprout some benevolent giants, one might certainly think so. The only problem is--as usually--with the humans. They are so unpredictable. They act upon their urges never thinking about the future, making a mess of things so very often. But they never last. They come and go. Nothing is destroyed or spoiled forever. The planet will wake again, the cycle will start over. But what does the planet feel?

Reus presents you with some unique puzzle gameplay that's challenging, addictive, and fun. You'll be tasked with creating stable and thriving ecosystems by matching various mutually dependent tiles in the much limited space that the surface of your little planet provides. There's a lot of effects to discover and the amount of unlockable features will greatly motivate you to continue playing through gradually more difficult stages. All that with the feeling that you're an omnipotent being controlling the fate of an entire world and its inhabitants. If you like challenging logic puzzles and god-games, this title takes a bit of both genres and creates a charming experience you won't soon forget!

Become the soul of a small planet, control the elemental giants, and make sure that your little humans prosper in Reus, for only $4.99 on GOG.com. The promo lasts until Thursday, August 15, at 9:59AM GMT.
Bought, just in case I end up liking it.
I'm thinking of picking this up. Does anyone who's actually played it have any compelling reasons not to?

Sounds rough XD
Anyways great promo here guys. Right now I am at work but, once I get home I will definitely have this in my collection.
A) someone pitch this game to me, please

B) Detroit is bankrupt so I can only guess that houses are going for pennies. In places like Beirut they are even cheaper but most of them don't have four walls or roofs and there is that constant "getting shot at every time you go out to get your mail" thing.

Still trying to make head or tails of this game...
Hmm, well, I do like a game that tries to do something different, and the art style is appealing. I think I'll get it, though probably won't play it right away.

As long as there's room for the pc, electricity and broadband intenret, he'll be set! :P

As for REUS, heard is more of a puzzle game. At this price, I think it's worth it. But I already have a shitload of games I need to play... :P

For those preferring Humble releases: http://www.reusgame.com/buy/

It's not on promo right now though, but you'd get it drm free AND a steam key. But again: not a gog release. :P
