SirPrimalform: While that makes sense, it's still not how averages work. At the very best they're ignorant, otherwise they're just being disingenuous.
avatar
amok: hmmm, but then they do not really say "beat the average", just "pay more then $... and get [...]". Beat the average is just implied because of other and previous bundles....

SirPrimalform: snip

amok: By the way, they must have heard you, it is $5.15 now.
No, but the average on the stats at the bottom was also $5.78. If that had been accurate and the price you were asked to pay stayed at $5.78 I wouldn't be objecting.

It does look like they've fixed it now anyway.

Nice! Finally a Paradox title that I did not already own!
Not a bad addition, that's for certain. A Hungarian game magazine gave it a solid 80%, so it should be pretty good.
I've not played it myself, but now at least I have a chance to do so.
If anyone is interested Omegalodon key from this bundle. Don't really use Desura.

Any guesses what the remaining bonuses are? I guess they are some album (the one without a Steam icon) and one more game. I just hope the latter isn't Pirates of the Black Cove... I've read horrible things about that game.
Happy hour is on right now

Average has mysteriously risen again too

Yup, and they've banned me from their facebook page for pointing that out (and deleted the post). There was something like a $2 discrepancy between the actual average and the fake one.

Sounds like something worth talking about to news sites to me.
It was $5.71 before happy hour. During happy hour it was $6.71, and now happy hour is over it's back to $5.71 again. Wish I'd thought of taking screenshots at the time.

Last couple of gala bundles the price has jumped around at random, but then dropped down to $4.99 near the end no matter how much people pay above that.

It's a shame that happens. I'd rather it just simply stay one price than to be misleading like that.
I haven't bought a gala bundle since the 2rd one, I think. I'm not liking how all the bundle sites seem to have gotten rid of early buyer bonues. Humble Bundle's "average" seems more like a median, so it only ever goes up. Indie Royale has become my preferred bundle provider now, but I miss the blind pre-order option. The price rises so fast with that one.
