Platform ?
In for Aquanox, thanks for the giveaway.

My least favorite sumertime water activity is the yearly Humans Vs Zombies contest held several days a year on my university campus. You're in a place that requires you to spend about $400 at least on books, notebooks, then add a lot of people carry food with them. Then throw in about 100 or so people with water guns, water balloons, and more who are the intended targets. The only option is to be paranoid you're going to wind up caught in the middle of a fight and find all your books and things damaged by water, and given it's summer, most people are readying for finals. That means books, more books, paper, homework, old exams, print outs, so much else. And it becomes a rather expensive sport for bystanders.

Momo1991: Win Vessel on Steam – tell us your favorite or least favorite plane/train/automobile/ship/boat story. We all have at least one!
I used to travel by plane pretty often. Not one for striking up conversation, I often used the time to sleep. I got pretty good at it.

Once, I boarded a plane on the east coast and fell asleep before takeoff. An attendant woke me in Denver. We were on the ground. I was the last passenger on the plane. The cabin was a mess: food, trash strewn everywhere, even on the ceiling. I was told we hit severe turbulence during dinner. No one had the heart to wake me. I was the only happy passenger.

I'm not in but thanks for your generosity, Momo.
For vacation, I prefer cool places than hot ones. You know, I live in a hot place. Cool places like a lake, forest, mountain. I've never been to snowy places too. Would love to go there someday.

Snow is highly over-rated! I hate shoveling it, cleaning the car off and dealing with bad drivers that don't know how to drive it in! Fortunately we moved to a place that gets only a few inches every year so I occasionally get to enjoy it and then it melts in a day or so - that's plenty of snow for me!
+1 for misteryo (Vessel)

My least favorite automobile experience was with car "manufacturer" failure. I used to work the late shift and getting off at Midnight (or later)...walked out to my car to start driving home I started the ignition to place the car in drive, yet the shifter did not move. My heart bpm must have jumped dramatically as I tried again with more strength and to no avail it did not budge down from park to drive...luckily I was able to get a hold of someone at this time of night for a ride home to investigate the issue over the web the next day...to find out that it was a small spring that jumped out of place disabling the shifter entirely!
It can be summer over there, but we're freezing in this part of the world...! (:P)
Thanks Momo, not in, but +1 for you! ^_^

Weird automotive failures - certainly had a few of my own! ;-)

I do realize that half the world is experiencing winter but wow, that fact sure feels odd, doesn't it? What wild planet we live on, huh?

Yeah, but this also give us variety (:P). Everywhere with the same climate, that would be boring... ^_^
