Took the water one... called it Vivi.... guess because I like that black mage vom F9.
I've got the water one but really haven't had time to play the game,
nicknamed him Pikpok (http://img828.imageshack.us/i/6df5e7e0ce849be1b1e72a0.jpg/).
low rated
Well Black and White aren't real so I'll just tell you what my real, actually good Pokemon are called (Playing Yellow and Crystal right now)

I named my Pikachu Peekapoo, because I have no theme. It's just the first thing that comes to my head. Generally, names are onomatopoeic, insulting (Venonat is called HIDEOUSTHING) or plain, no biggie shit (like Steve).

My Cyndaquil / Quilava in Crystal is named 'FWOOMF'. Because the fire on his back goes FWOOMF.

Also, Black and White suck.

I chose Tepig, and aptly nicknamed him Bacon.

Also, TheJoe, I respectfully disagree. While not up there with the greats HeartGold and SoulSilver, I'm enjoying Black immensely, much more than I did the third gen games.
My partner is picking up my copy today and i always name them based on what they remind me of. I would have gone fire type but i don't like the Moomin look that it evolves in to, so i will pick one of the others.
I heard the game has 3D models... does is it really?

I haven't actually played a Pokemon game since Ruby (even then I didn't play it for super long). Exactly how many pokemon are there nowadays?
I always go fire as well so it's going to be firepig (yes I have not bothered to learn it's real name yet :P) for me! I think my copy will come in today but I'm not so sure I'll be interested in my DS with DA2 out (I was hoping it would arrive on Monday to make the wait easier, but alas). I'll try to fit at least a little bit of it in on arrival day cause I am pretty excited for it. :D

Im confused.

what are you talking about?

Oh, haha, didnt know the OP was talking about Pokemon Black and White LOL. Though he was talking about the old EA game Black & White.

On topic, havent played a Pokemon game since Sapphire sadly. Need to get myself another DS, miss Pokemon. Yeah, thats right, im 23, almost 24, and i love me some Pokemon.
Alas, I don't have to money for Black or White at the moment (mainly because I'm saving for a 3DS).

Yeah, the third gen was the low point for me. Fourth gen was a marked improvement, I'm hoping that trend continues.
I took Snivy, however, my nicknames tend to suck so I stopped nicknaming my mons long ago.
Also, despite having lost the cartridge, I recall Ruby being immense fun, and Black is awesome so far, getting ready to do the fourth gym.

I didn't check exactly how many gen V added, but I'd guess around 600 (counting all evolutions).

It does, they're jaggy as hell, but it's amazing they were able to do it at all on that old system.

Well to be absolutely fair, the DS is capable of Decent graphics (see GTA: Chinatown Wars, Final Fantasy IV, Tales of Innocence *I'm still waiting on a US release for that one*, Super Mario 64 DS). I am kinda curious to see who it looks though.

There are 649, Black and White added 156.

From what I've played I haven't seen anything in the last year that deserved to be played more. I'd put down anything but Enslaved: Odyssey to the West or Castlevania: Lords of Shadow for this release.

Of course, my daughter and I play side by side on releases, so I have extra reason to play it:)
I'm think of getting one of the games (mainly because I heard that you can catch every single pokemon ever in them), but I'm not sure which one to get... what do you guys recommend?
