Starkrun: Sounds like i'll skip Impulse.... to much hassle, id rather buy though used sites or just ebay the older titles...
Wise move. If you are going to settle for DRM in a game why have the need for an installer as well.
Starkrun: Steam burned me and i dont anything like that... GOG give me what i want, how i like it, and its on my terms... archive and install 10 years down i love that ability... it seems GOG will remain my sole and only online games dealer untill something better comes along with NO DRM...
I too no longer use Steam, and have had it uninstalled for some time now.
I have settled on buying games from gog and DRM free Indie titles. However, make sure you read the forums before you buy games here or any where as DRM free does not mean pain free.
Also, some indie publishers are more gamer friendly than others. Some will say up front no DRM others will not like you talking about it too much.
Read, read, read the forums, do the leg work to find if it is DRM free, and most of all hold on to your money until you are sure it is the game you want and it is delivered in the way you want (i.e. DRM free, and installer free).
