l0rdtr3k: well,hi there.
Yeah, I'm seriously thinking about it. The reason for this is elitism. It's not a big revelation that most of the PC crowd(GOG excluded) is one of the most toxic, elitist, immature communities in gaming. Always trying to find reasons to bash consoles and trying to show that all others gaming plataforms suck except the PC and believing that they are part of a so called "Master Race".
I don't want to be part of that, I hate elitism and I do not tolerate this happening in my favourite hobby. Thinking about it,gaming is not some hobby for me,it's my lifestyle.
So yeah, I'm going to stick to my 360 for indefinite time, but I'll still participate in both here in the forum and in the Blood Bowl league because I just like the site and the people here that much.
Also,if you want to say "I don't give a fuck" or stuff like that, well,I'm not wasting my time and bandwidth responding to you. I just felt that I needed to get this off my chest.

Peace.

monkeydelarge: Just avoid gaming forums.

Problem solved.
You'd think he would have thought of that, considering he stated that he's just going to ignore any comments about how much someone else doesn't care about him not playing on the computer anymore.

Emob78: I'm beginning to hate what PC games have become, but I've always sort of hated what console games were. For those reasons, people like myself will always be stuck in that never ending revolving door.

When you feel both PC and console games fail you, i would advice to give these a try. "The GOG beyond GOG" so to speak.

JinseiNGC224: I'll go along with that myself. I'm crossing my fingers that GOG stays DRM-free and around for decades more :)

Can't wait for Galaxy to get planted so I can see it grow!

And to come out of the closet: I play consoles, hardcore, and always have. I love them, and if it wasn't for consoles, gaming in general wouldn't be the same as it is today. It gives variety of play styles, even if that line is thinning these days. I've played since NES, then SNES, N64, PS1, PS2, PS3, a DS and PSP, not to mention an old school gameboy, a hand me down XboX, an Xbox 360, and over 200 vintage games on my shelf from nearly 20 years of gaming history, many of which have never been officially released on PC and may never.

And guess what? I won't change any time soon. I can't wait to get a Vita and a PS4, probably won't bother with an Xbox One (because there's nothing there that interests me right now), and the only PC games I've ever played in the past is the infinity engine RPG's and a few big name real-time and turn-based strategy titles. Most of my GOG collection, old and new, is new territory for me. I'm far from an elitist, even if I've been reveling in GOG as of late. If there wasn't a DRM-free platform, I probably wouldn't even play PC games.

But GOG is my ONLY PC platform, because of all the console gaming I do. I buy hard copies, games I'll own forever. If hard copies went away, I'd probably just collect old games and enjoy my DRM-free GOG collection, with a lot of tabletop gaming mixed in there too as I always have that for when video gaming becomes frustrating or dull.

Elitists get to me too, but that's also why I'm not as into most gaming communities as some people. I like to learn things, give feedback where I feel it could help someone, or share my experiences, but I would never ever tell someone what's better or worse. That's a persons own choice, and it's not my place to bash that. Most don't care about opinions anyway. They'll play what they like.

I think there's a need for a variety of platforms, and being elitist about any one platform does not support the gaming industry but only your preferred niche. Color me overly open minded and optimistic, but I love having many different systems and types of games to choose from. Some games cross-over, but many others don't and may never. If you deny yourself access out of smite or "just because this platform is better", your just limiting your own potential for fun and enjoyable gaming.

Go for your consoles. Play PC when it fits the mood. It's not about what's better, but what you enjoy. Either way, play what you want. Shrug off the elitists, and have fun :)

JudasIscariot: If you're going to get a Vita and you are a hoarder (like me :P) you should look into getting the 64 GB memory card, if possible :D I got mine coming and I got my PSN+ subscription with a bunch of games that would've cost me more if I hadn't bought the subscription. Also, grab Persona 4 Golden, it's great :D
Thanks for the advice :)

Is the 64 gig the biggest? I always try and go with the largest available storage capacities. When I bought my 80 gig PS3 (when it was a new system), it was the largest hard drive at the time (oh and that one could play PS1 and PS2 games! :D ). Then I opted for the 500 gig one later, as our hard drive filled up, and I'm a hoarder (just like you!), not just of hard copies, but of my digital files as well. I have save files dating back to the late 90's floating around somewhere in here...>.>

I was waiting for the definitive edition of Persona 4. Golden might be it. I also can't wait for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax for PS3, along with a spew of JRPG's from Aksys and NIS America I still need to collect (especially box sets, such as Tales of Xillia 2) :)

Stewie not helping :(
You know...EVERY SINGLE COMMUNITY has their group of assholes. Don't leave PC gaming because of some comments. If you stop playing, they wont care; They'll keep playing. Don't play for others, play for yourself, for your enjoyment. With your kind of thinking, I have to abandon everything!: PC because certain people, Sonic because of the creepy fandom, Fallout (just look up No mutants allowed, you will understand), Fighting Games, e.t.c.
I wont stop playing because of some toxic comments, because they don't affect me unless I let them. Remember,
play for yourself!
I love gaming and it shouldn't matter what platform you are playing them on, and i think i'm gonna continue Chrono Trigger on my 3DS XL :)

It's the biggest I've found on both sides of the pond, so to speak :)

At least this time I won't have to get an adapter and two tiny, easy to lose MicroSD cards and lose about 6 GB due to the FAT32 file system of the PSP.

Hard copies of Vita games are hard to get here (Poland), without resorting to ebay-like sites, and in the US, at least from what I've seen. I couldn't find P4G on store shelves along with any other game that wasn't Lumines or Little Big Planet.

As to where to get a 64 GB card, well, seems to stock them along with the old standby, [url=http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313&_nkw=PS+Vita+64+GB&_sacat=0&_from=R40]eBay

While I am a PC gamer these days I don't see myself as better than those that use consoles.

It looks awesome. My fiance is stoked :)

More reason to enjoy consoles! Sack boy! :D

I was in flight while the Sony part of E3 was happening :/
The morons are everywhere in the gaming world if it's not PC master race, it's fighting over Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft.

That is why I'm not a gamer. I just like games. Huge difference :)
And when it comes to elitism, I certainly don't think GOG is excluded. More mature maybe, bit It is as elitist as the next place. Whether it's bashing consoles, Steam, other communities, or Call of Duty... It's all here, people are generally just more "polite" and sneaky about it.

Just try not to do it yourself. That makes you a rare gem.

Whatever you do, peace back to ya.

pingu53: ...seriously who stops playing a certain system over the actions of others who also play the system? this is the dumbest thing ive read on these forums
I was thinking about the same. Does he choose all his other hobbies and past times also by how he views the other people liking the same? Like "I don't want to listen to that band because I dislike their other fans.". Sounds odd.

Yeah, elitism sucks. Bashing other systems too. So why is going console a solution?

XBox vs Playstation revigorated the system wars, which was just wasting away after the peak between Genesis / SNes and a short comeback with the demise of Sega's Dreamcast, courtesy of Sony.
For more than 10 years PC gamers gotten crapped on by console gamers because of their exclusives and the shoddy ports we received.
The announcements of XBox One / Playstation 4 marked a new all time high on threads about "PC gaming is dying".

So I really, truely, from the bottom of my heart apologize, as the new consoles are out now and didn't blow everyone away, while the PCs getting stronger with each year (as before) and is seeing more exclusives than ever before, that some gamers use their time for a tiny, little payback.
Sorry. Really.

.... and my Skyrim STILL looks and plays better than on any console.
