You forgot

Roman5: Vote Morrowind!

:p
Welcome, you made a good mistake ^^

While you can't make your own games here, you are more than welcome to mod them to your heart's desire.

Here are a few links worth checking out:

GOG's main venture is bringing back old 90's games by locating data loose on the net thanks to the efforts of 90s SPS's (Software Preservation Societies) like Hybrid, Razor and SkidRow.

Once obtained they use highly technologically advanced and complicated software programs for DOS emulation to clean up and accommodate modern PC configurations.

Once managed they locate those who own the Copyright and offer to re-market their product on this site.

GOG has recently also began hosting modern day independent developer games as well as long as those developers don't mind their games sold with SPS Protection removed.

MissColdFlameX: Hey, I just joined this today, I kinda accidentally ended up on this site when badly misspelling Google -_-'' Anyhoo, I saw it was a gaming site and was like '' Jheeeze'', coz I like gaming :P aha, I was wondering... can you make your own games on this site or no..?
avatar
Theta_Sigma: Welcome aboard, as the others have already stated, you can't make your own. However, the catalog has some real gems (old and new) worth looking at. My personal favourites are the adventure games on your right...and the rpgs on your left. ^_^ Remember to keep your feet and hands in the car at all times, and enjoy the ride. Also feel free to have a +1 rep on the house. :P
Haha thanks for the welcome :)
And thanks for the rep :P What is it though>?? :S

Kristian: Welcome to GoG, I hope you enjoy your stay here. Plenty of both new and classic games are available. Often for very favorable prices. All of them DRM free, all of them working on new systems. Lots and lots of extras as well.
Thank you :) Everyones so darn nice on here ;)

amok: Well, is far from sufficient to make such as determination, we require some pretty solid proof before stating that games on GOG are DRM free. I am just urging caution so that you don't get burned by well hidden, unknown or undiscovered DRM't .

Other than that - Welcome and get Psychonauts.
Uhuh, Okay, Thank you :)

Welcome!

Rep is kinda a measure how active you are in the community, you get one a day if you post, and can gain more my answering questions and people "up repping" your posts, I believe the max gain per day is capped.

You can also be "down repped" and even go into minus this mostly happens to spam bots unless there has been a "disagreement"

Stay a while and listen....

Welcome to GOG!

Since everyone else is recommending you to buy this game or that game, I'll recommend you to buy nothing! Run while you still can and have money in your pocket! Leave uuuusssss .... Leeaaaave

::groans as the GOG guards catch up and reassert mind wipe::

Welcome stranger! You should buy Freespace 2! or IL-2! or Master of Orion! This is a friendly place ... stay ... remember you can checkout anytime you like (with any game you want), but you can never leave!

So modding is allowed on GOG?
The original Deus Ex is a hybrid stealth/action/rpg game often voted as one of the great games of all time. They've done two sequels, including the modern game Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

People will link to mods they've created for various games, often in the game specific forums. If it seems like a really good project, GOG staff will sticky the thread so it can be found easily. If it is really impressive, GOG will sometimes write whole articles about user-made mods for a specific game (often in conjunction with a sale for that game). However, there is no official link to mods on the game cards themselves. Rarely GOG will use user-made patches in the default edition of the game if it improves stability.

LOL :') That's hilarious :D
I'm not running :P But It's highly unlikely I'll buy ALL the games that have been recommended. Thanks though, your comment is ... refreshing ;)
