I bought a PS3 for strangely PSOne Classics, so many PS1 games I never played.

But seriously I bought it for Metal Gear Solid 4.

I sold my copy of the game.... Still regret the decision, though.

Still no The Last Guardian on the horizon... at this point cancellation is even more likely than a release on ps4.

When I was in the market for a Blu-ray player a few years ago, I did some research and found at the time that the PS3 was considered the best one available. I hadn't really intended to buy any games for it and only owned about 3 games (MLB The Show, Virtua Tennis 4, and Burnout: Paradise) for 2 years. Then PSN got hacked and Sony gave away Infamous as one of the apology gifts. Wow! Did I love that game! When the whole Playstation Plus thing blew up, offering free full, retail games for a yearly subscription that pretty much came out to $4/month, I found that hard to resist. So, for the price of less than 1 new retail game a year, I've gotten access to more games that I even have time enough to play, Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racconus, Shank 2, Infamous 2, Little Big Planet 2, Just Cause 2, Saints Row 2, Saints Row 3, Ratchet and Clank All 4 One, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine, Lara Croft and the Guiardian of Light, Outland, Borderlands, Bioshock 2, Street Fighter 4, Darksiders, Vanquish, The Cave, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Uncharted 3, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Hitman: Absolution...

You know, I had no intention of buying a PS4, but since the PS4 will be receiving free games on PS+ as well, I'm starting to be sorely tempted.

I got to play Puppeteer a bit at my cousin's house since he rented it. It's a fun game.

Disgaea 3 looks a lot better on the Vita(visuals haven't been upgraded, just looks better on a smaller screen XD)

If you're into JRPGs you should check out the Tales series. I also like the Atelier games but they aren't for everybody.

I actually had a PS3 before I had an HD television, so I avoided the Disgaea 3 issue by accident (since it looked fine on my old tv). I didn't discover the problem until after the fact.

Demon Souls and that Zelda-like where you're a wolf-god and you paint with a calligraphy brush too! (which may have been PS2 to being with but got ported)

I'm thinking about doing the same thing. Right now its still too expensive for me. I know the price will drop once the PS4 is out, its only a matter of how much.

Oh man I remember watched the Puppeteer trailer and LOVE it so much! I need to save money for that game! Valkyria Chronicle is worth owning thanks to its deep characters. Also you just don't want to see one of your soldier die in the battlefield. Now that's hurt. Why don't you go to PlayAsia and get the cheaper Region 3 version? PS3 is not region locked.
