Obviously, I'm dead inside.....

Just finished the first 45 minutes of To The Moon and wanted to smash by computer screen I hated it so much.

Click, read, click, read, click, read, click, read, stupid puzzle, click, read, click, read -- bloody music is too loud -- click, read, stupid puzzle, squint at teeny tiny graphics, click, read......give up. Go to YouTube to watch a walkthrough - last another 10 minutes. Aaaaarggggh.

Excrutiatingly terrible dialogue, annoying characters, Korean soap opera story.......

Yep. Done.

And I'm dead inside :)

From the games you hate I judge you don't like good games at all! :D

Bloodygoodgames: bloody music is too loud
Why is it, that in films and games, the dialogue is really quiet, and the music is deafeningly loud. WHY!?

wanted to say a lot but then i read this "Yeah, I'm a girl" to be honest "to the moon" is meant for males to play and cry......not sure if it suits girls
I thought it was pretty annoying too, I found the whole plot to be more disturbing than actually melancholic.
Divine Divinity (except for the last hour)
Lego Harry Potter
Rome: Total War
Manic Digger
Minecraft
Crusader Kings
Arcanum of Whatsits....
Dungeon Keeper
Gabriel Knight (all 3)
Borderlands
Borderlands 2
Europa Universalis 3
Both Vickys
Anomaly
Dungeons of Dredmor
Icewind Dale
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2
Syberia
Darkstone
King of Dragon Pass
Medieval II: Total War
Abe's Oddysee
Geneforge 1 (haven't played the other 4 yet)

And that's just off the top of my head. Should I continue :)

EDIT

Whoops - this is in response to Keeveek. Games I actually LIKE :)

Because you haven't set your audio codecs / speakers correctly? IF you're watching a video in AC3 5.1 or something like that, you should bump the center speaker levels by few decibels.

Have you seen the matrix films? They do that. It's a technique they use.

Because we're old?

Well at least I am.......

No, it's the industry standard. If you bump center speaker levels a little, it will be all right.

Trust me. I pirate movies for decades. I know. :P

I dont think either of us is old. I'd take a guess that you are older than me, but not old.

I usually watch stuff with earphones or on my tv (no bass). I guess i will have to watch stuff through my pc and hook up the surround sound to give it a try. You're probably right.

I think I should probably have been a guy (although if I'd been born one I would have had to have been gay as I actually prefer guys :)

Where guys go on and on about a game being 'touching' or 'emotionally rich", I just think ..........puke.

Although.......I sob and sob and sob at Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the real one, not the horrific recent one).
Welcome to the Narratology vs. Ludology debate.

Oh, if you are watching on headphones, you should set your audio codecs for 2.0 format.

If you're listening to 5.1 audio on 2.0 hardware, it will always be too quiet. But PC audio codecs have no problem with converting 5.1 to 2.0
