And here I thought you were gonna tell me about some new and exciting horror game

gameon: ..

I dont think either of us is old. I'd take a guess that you are older than me, but not old.
You'd be surprised :)
I doubt it's about being a guy or a girl to enjoy this game, because last time I checked I was a guy too, and didn't like it one bit.

both narration and gameplay. (Hell, I think over the two I prefer what little gameplay there is)

ROTFL.

Thanks for the laugh -- I almost snored tea down my nose.

liquidsnakehpks: wanted to say a lot but then i read this "Yeah, I'm a girl" to be honest "to the moon" is meant for males to play and cry......not sure if it suits girls

Bloodygoodgames: I think I should probably have been a guy (although if I'd been born one I would have had to have been gay as I actually prefer guys :)

Where guys go on and on about a game being 'touching' or 'emotionally rich", I just think ..........puke.

Although.......I sob and sob and sob at Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the real one, not the horrific recent one).
ah well probably then as you you mentioned "I'm Dead Inside" is starting to be true , what puzzles ? where did you get stuck ? to the moon would have probably would have appealed more if it had some voices but for those who had the patience to read and understand the game , would have felt what the game tries to do.

Fenixp: You should meet my wife!
...
Oh wait you'd just hate each other.
Wait....your wife is gay but likes guys?

Your gay, your wife is gay and you both like guys?

I'm confused :)

No, not remotely stuck. The 'game', if that's what you can call it, is mind-numbingly easy. It's just boring. Too much clicking on characters to get them to speak and the dialogue is so truly awful it was grating on my nerves.

Plus the Watts character - most snide person in a game? Couldn't get past the horrible characters and the repetitive clicking.

I can however definitely tell it was written by an Asian. (I live in Thailand). It's like every stereotypical melodramatic Korean soap opera I've watched (and I've watched hundreds as I love them). But the soap operas are much better written.

I give the developer kudos for attempting it, but honestly I just couldn't get through it.
Dead cold as only steel can be. :p

Oh now that makes sense :)

Then I'd probably like her.

I'm actually one of those really girly looking girls (well, women, I'm getting up there in age), you know flowery dresses and long hair, but I think like a guy most of the time.

I'm matter of fact, decisive, straightforward, don't take shit from anyone and have no problem telling you when I've got a problem with you.

My dad calls me "a handful", which in British terms means " a complete pain in the ass" :)

Too many coincidences between your wife and BGG. Are you sure you're not unknowingly married with BGG, Fenixp? :D

Asbeau: Kan Gao is Canadian
He's actually Chinese and grew up part of his childhood in China. Read an article about him a while ago.

I could tell he wasn't a native English speaker with some of the dialogue, as it was just a bit "off".

I'm a former English teacher to Asian students so can usually pick it up :)

EDIT:

Found the article - http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-05-18-kan-gao-to-the-moon-and-back

He moved to Canada from China when he was 11. At that age you've already sat through hundreds of melodramatic Asian soap operas :)

and that's it probably: you know all these asian soap opera cliches but we, the Europeans and Americans, don't... maybe if this was your first ever similar story, you might like it too...

or not, as you probably love a lot of action and not much talking :)

now I just wonder why did you even try playing this game... :D
