Dark Messiah, from what I've played is a great game in it's own right... But on the same level as Thief and Deus Ex? I dunno...
EDIT: Damn it, you got in ahead of me. To clarify, you can customise your character, but anything other than a "warrior" like character doesn't reach much of a potential.

It was a commercial failure. But I don't see how that matters.
I'm not saying it's equal to Deus Ex and Thief. Just that it's comparable to both and about as close as you're going to get to a good combination of the two.

I didn't mean a commercial failure.. I meant that their attempt at making something comparable to Thief and/or Deus Ex, was, well.. Lacklustre.
I really hope that Dark Messiah isn't as good a combination as we're going to get... That would bring me to tears.

Another winning combo would be the graphics of Freelancer combined with the trading, fighting. pirating, all other fun and cool aspects of Space Rangers 2. Yes, that would be made of awesome....

How about the X3 style open universe crossed with Xwing? You could have coop and form a small squadron with your friends to raid imperial shipping, conduct hit and fade strikes on military targets and all sorts of awesome stuff.

Since the first time I've played GTA3, I've always wished to see a Star Wars game with GTA gameplay.
The action could take place on Coruscant, you would play... I don't know... anything but a jedi, maybe a gangster born in the low levels of the city and becoming a influent crimelord as the game progresses.
I know that TOR will give the opportunity to evolve on Coruscant, but MMORPG is definitely not the same thing as GTA.

I don't think there is any realistic way of incorporating Titans because of their sheer size. I dont know why but whenever anyone mentions 40K Titans always get a mention but people don't consider the scale of them. For example if there was a Battlefield type 40K game then the team that gets to their Warhound first, wins. Plasma Blastgun + Vulcan Mega-Bolter = Dead opponents.
Titans really need their own game with a battle going on around them which they pretty much ignore. A simulation like Steel Battalion might work. Just no $150 controller please.

Just as long its not a Space Marine FPS , do we really need another Halo?...
Tho I'd kill for an Imperial Guard ARMA/Flashpoint style FPS (not as realistic tho,think COD on Veteran ) throw in some COD elements ,primarily Perks and weapons customization (using the Codex as source material).
Just think about it holding out vs a huge horde of Orks or Chaos from a lowly guard POV, progressing in ranks till you fight as a Kasrkin/Storm Trooper.

There are infantry, tanks and titans in Epic. There are also various titan classes to consider here. We don't have to be talking about the biggest of all.
Imagine something like the intro for the latest iteration of Mechwarrior but with troops and tanks also. It could work. Maybe not at present. But it's something that could be possible in future.

The Warhound Titan is the smallest Imperial class of Titan and that is huge on a 40K tabletop. I would love a game that features TItans but it has to be around Titan scale. I used to play Epic back in the day and the best thing about it was the massive war machines but infantry were next to useless. Whole companies of men wiped out in a couple of blast markers. Like I said if there was a battle going on around the Titans but you only have to concentrate on Titan class threats then that would be workable. Maybe THQ could get GPG to make an Epic scale game featuring the engine from Supreme Commander.
