I saw a nice feature on Amazon and I would like to see something like that here. I was looking for some books for my kindle. I saw that If a book is not in eBook format yet there is a button you can push that says "tell the publisher you want to see this book on kindle!" I imagine all it is a vote counter and they send the numbers to a publisher to show them the business they are missing. I think it would be great if there was a place we GOG fans could show a tally of which producers we would like see distribute their games through GOG. That way GOG could use this market research as leverage when trying to convince the publisher to sell their games through GOG. Maybe they already use the wish list for this but I think it would be nice if there was a way we could show publishers that they have a customer base on GOG.

(It would be nice if we could get Lucasarts here!)

I think that demand from that page is one of arguments in gog's negotiations with publishers:)

Perhaps GOG should make the wish list more prevalent, like have a link to it on the banner.

You see enough "this game should be on GOG" post on the forum that it seems that a lot of new people to the site or infrequent visitors do not know about the wish list.

So many letters push copyrights holder to re-release games.

Wishlist must need reform and return to rightful position.
It's now useless,messed up,don't work effectively.

Suggestion

-Each item should have each forum,when game released same forum move into community forum.
-Registering game need decent source prevent to have too many items about same one.
-Good search engine
-Sticky forum accept organize item,any suggestion

It used to be featured very prominently on the main page, actually; it was taken down during the September 2010 site recoding. And if you factor in the fact that traffic has increased many times since then, you'll see that it had almost no effect on the number of "this game should be on GOG" posts. It seems those are here to stay.

Now the wishlist suffers from the very same problems as the review system: zero moderation, crappy data, general unreliability. Impossible to fix without lots of effort. So they just took it down.

Each of us should write letters to LucasArts, Take 2, Microsoft and EA demanding to bring the classics back, preferably DRM free and cheap and in any case with expansions.

Maybe somebody can setup a website, where I just have to insert my name and adress and then the letters are sent automatically.

How about this for a letter:

I don't know why you haven't released [insert game] on GOG. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for a DRM, I can tell you I don't have the patience do deal with that. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you release [insert game] on GOG now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for torrents of [insert game], I will not pursue it. But if you don't, I will look for it, I will find it, and I will pirate it.

I think the writing letters thing is the best way to help GoG out. One idea I have to help improve the wishlist is to add a button to flag something for deletion, such as if it is a duplicate or isn't a game.
This would work best after they do a major purging of the wishlist which is so desperately needed.

Well designed and maintained GOG wishlist is more effective than paper letters in almost case.
Central problem is always money.
GOG wishlist is voted by GOG customer,they are paying games avidly,and more likely to pay voted game than any other signatures collected in other site.
