It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Whitecroc: Still worth a try, I says. I've found that, on the very rare occasion DEP is the culprit, very strange things happen.
Indeed! I'll try anything at this point. I've been trouble shooting this game for months, I've resorted to some far fetched things! It was something new, I'll give you that!
Somebody better help her, because I'm not gonna stop bumping this until she's playing Icewind Dale.
Stop bumping this thread!!!

This will probably work as well as those massive "Reply-All" email chains at our work, where someone sends a reply-all to hundreds or thousands of people saying something like:

"I don't know what this discussion is about, please remove me from this email discussion."

And a few dozen others who say the same. After that several dozen others will reply-all with something like. "People, don't use reply-all! You are spamming the discussion! Stop it!".

Nothing seems to keep a mass-posting thread alive better than a few hundred people actively trying to kill it. :)

Kill two chickens at exactly 9:57PM GMT and sprinkle their blood over a loaf of white bread (NOT SLICED). Use the blood-soaked break to make a sandwich with UNcured ham and 3 day old mayonnaise. Do NOT eat the sandwich, instead throw it out on top of a trash can full of wood chips from a 100+ year old tree.

After the trash has been incinerated (make sure it is not sent to a landfill) the game should work ONLY DURING THE DAY. For nighttime play you have to repeat the process using roast beef.

I have no idea what you're trying to say.

@StingingVelvet

Thank you

If it's not clear, there isn't anything in this or my other thread that hasn't been tried. The only reason it's got so long is because people aren't reading the entire thread and are posting repeat information.

If this thread is spamming people then mabey we can talk through email so it's easier. Please let me know.
Is there a way I can pay extra money to have this become a priority for the tech support? I've sent in multiple tickets and made multiple threads but nobody can figure out why this game isn't working.

I will donate money to the site or to someone personally if they can figure this out, please help.

This is one of those times I wish I knew more about computers :P If I may make a suggestion, post everything you've tried already, maybe someone gets a new idea, or maybe you skipped something. A long shot, I know, but still worth a try.

I already did that in my other thread, I thought I consolidated my attempts.

The first step in fixing this problem is recreating my problem. The issue seems unique, and the help people are offering me are fixes for differant problems.

I hope the screen shots I presented are enough information to reach a conclusion.
Do you have access to XP/Vista/W7 installation discs? You could set up virtual PC and play on it. IWD doesn't require hardware accelleration - it should run just fine.

The only CDs I have are the ones that came with this computer. (Dell XPS630i) ((Windows Vista x64))
Do you know anyone who has the same computer you have?
Have you tried disabling ATI Crossfire?

Crossfire is where the 2 ATI cards are running simultaneously (Nvidia cards call it SLI)

To do this open Catalyst Control Center, there should be a little ATI Icon next to your clock bottom right, if its not there it will be in programs or if you right click on an empty space of your desktop it will be in the menu that pops up, few options to access.

Now once you have opened this, go to the bottom of the options on the left and click Crossfire. There should be a checkbox on the next screen to enable / disable, try disabling it and then click apply or ok, now try starting the game again and see what happens.

I can't seem to find Crossfire.

You, someone else, and one of the mods on this forum mentioned that I have 2 cards but I do not. My computer only has one video card.

I'm assuming I would only be able to see Crossfire if I had 2 cards installed?

Yeah, the option wont be there if you only have 1 card.

Have you tried updating to latest drivers yet? If not reply to this and I will link you to a program that completely removes an old instal of a driver ready for a new one

Yes the drivers are all up to date currently. Do you think older drivers might fix this problem? When I checked for updates I noticed a rollback option.

I'm willing to try this if it's a possibility but there is another game that I play that wasn't working properly until I updated my drivers.
