GameRager: Reduced accuracy, reduced ranges........meh.

MobiusArcher: Im not exactly happy about it myself. Shooters got a lot less fun for me around the time that the XBOX came out. I have been playing less and less of them since then.
You don't like how FPS are handled on console because of limitations, but you also don't feel right playing them on PC and getting headshots.

What am I reading?

/silly mode off

I don't like it when the difficulty of games is poorly balanced. Using a mouse on a FPS designed for console (pretty much all of them now) makes the difficulty poorly balanced. Its just a personal opinion of course. I didn't mean to offend you or anything.

I'm not offended. I'm just being silly. XD

Just amp up the difficulty settings in a PC fps or mod it to make it more difficult and there ya go. Or play it on a crap PC and lag so bad that headshots become a thing of legend. Good idea or best idea? :)

lol. I like the lag monster idea. The upping the difficulty is problematic for me though. Im not a FPS god or anything. It works ok for normal enemies, but once I run into something without a weak point like the head, im in trouble. Good accuracy isn't as helpful then.
I played crysis 2 autoaim of and normal with controller, crysis 1 is harder and is much better (game also) with mouse. Half-life 2 was so simple and needed mouse accuracy. I played deus ex:hr with a controller. (auto aim off)
And a final thing (nobody asked any of this), so I was originally playing witcher 2 in hard with a controller and it felt better but I got tired in that dice bug with a controller, so I switched, took a time to adjust but eventually I finished with mouse and kb.
Should be bought option but mostly I hate how close fov is, because of everything is ported. Amen for ini-tweaks and such.
Some games are just made for one control-scheme and another is half-assed.
Shame.
In some games are so made for console and they still drop the controller-support. That sucks most of all. After fov.

After all this.. I have no idea what i just wrote but let's press the button.
Can they have other publisher?
DS on PC: take PSX emulator, load King's Field or Shadow Tower, die repeatedly.

Those were awesome games, and made by the same dev. They have nowhere near the difficulty of the Souls games though.
It would be nice for those who want it. I also game on consoles though so don't care much myself.

It would be nice even for people who already own it on consoles but have good PCs as well.

Playing at constant 60fps at 1080p compared to 15-30fps at 1024*720 would be a humongous difference to enjoyment of the game.

Fuzzyfireball: What do you mean? The fact that tons of people went into TW2 without knowing it would rip their head off and shove it deep into their ass? :D
I was one of those people. :'(

StingingVelvet: Every single RPG and FPS should be on PC.
Including the JRPGs?

Aaron86: Including the JRPGs?
Those aren't RPGs :P

Though sure, why not? I would love to play some of their grid-based tactical games like Final Fantasy Tactics.

MobiusArcher: This is probably going to get me some flack, but I prefer to play FPS games made for consoles with a controller. The gameplay is balanced for the reduced accuracy. The games compensate for the controller by reducing ranges and various other tricks. When using a mouse its nothing but headshots. It feels a bit like cheating, and makes it less fun for me. Battlefield 3 is probably the only recent big budget shooter that isn't made primarily for consoles, so I play pretty much all shooter games with a controller. I also have no issues with consoles myself, so that's what I get my shooters on now. I did just buy Battlefield 3 for PC 4 days ago though. Getting that one on console when you have a gaming PC seems pointless even to me.
I don't think you're wrong really, it makes sense to play games as they were designed. That said I hate analog aiming so much I can't stand to play any game like that. I dislike even using analog sticks for camera control.

How about the dislike for fixed camera games which involve precise diagonal running at angles not easily possible with WASD?

Give me an example. Certainly sounds like a gamepad situation though. I do use a pad for a lot of stuff, just never anything with aiming.

Lara Croft and the GoL, not all jumps are on a 45° rose, and even automatic guidance isn't always helpful.
