Elmofongo: At least explain how the Remake was not scary for you so I can understand better
avatar
OmegaX: What's to be scared of? The zombie threat is there but the in-game documents do a great job at explaining exactly what is happening about the nature of the threat (T-Virus, Umbrella, etc.). Besides, the REmake gives you enough tools to survive the threat like all kinds of weapons, herbs, you can even burn corpses to avoid having to face the crimson heads. The game would be scary if it left something to the imagination and if the weapons didn't make you feel as if you could take hundreds of zombies on your own.
play the game in real survivor where item box are not "linked" as in you put your stuff in the box and it stays in that same box among other changes really challenging

I beat the game in invisible mode and real survivor. You can save a lot of ammo by ignoring enemies because most won't even touch you if you run and know where they are. Still, not scary.

Challenging =/= scary. Besides, you have to finish the game to unlock Annoying Mode, which surely dulls the edge.

Yeah, many people tend to mix this up. There are differences between challenging, scary and horror.

Challenging: Getting hat hot blonde into bed while being piss drunk

Scary: The condom breaks.

Horror: You realize it's your sister.

yeah the thing i should have said is more intense and stake raising, the real survivor mode adds to the game imo
I actually saw it on Conan and I didn't like what I saw (game-wise).

That sound enormously irritating.

SimonG: I never understood the popularity of the old RE games. They were good games despite the horrible controls, contrived "puzzles" and awkward writing. I personally like the "new REs" more than the old. While they're "only" 3rd person action games nowadays, they are very good at being those.
Yep, I'm with you. I often had to pause to laugh at writing that I'm not entirely certain was supposed to be funny, it just sucked balls. Characters that controlled like a tank. And how insanely complicated and ridiculous is that story line? Just adding more layers to a bunch of confused crap doesn't make it better.

Maybe I'll try RE5 some day, but the earlier ones absolutely killed my interest in that entire series.

Then forget you, I for one love the old games and I love the tank like controls, since this game is not made for you then you are not important to the game.

I still have RE1 PS1 big box. I stopped at 4. Will probably play 5 one day. Maybe...
Yeah, I figured Resident Evil 6 would not be very good considering the track record for not only the series, but Capcom in general.

go play your psychological horrors like amnesia or system shock which imo is not scary
Look at your keyboard. You see those keys between "M" and "-"? (slighty above/left of the space bar)

USE THEM

Wow, are you this much of a whining infant every time someone disagrees with you?

1. Good for you. Wow, see how this works? I can disagree with you without throwing a tantrum.

2. Actually, from what you've been saying this game (that being RE 6, since you made this thread to discuss it) isn't for YOU. So...bye?

3. Where did I mention psychological horror games being better? Where did I mention them at all?

RE 4 and 5 are decent action games with a slightly less ass-pull plot.

Also, the 3DS version seems like the game Resident Evil should have been (only played the demo, but more in the vein of 1 - 3 but this time actually with proper controls.)
