*flame shield activated*it gave me a good impression, the gunplay is solid, the setting is great, the graphics are nice(even though it game me a minor headache because the bloom effect)and the action is very fast paced.it's nothing like the original, but I'm going to buy the full game when I get the money
I love the old Syndicates, and I love the new one too. It's a tactical shooter, with a lot of consideration from its predecessors.

The singleplay is rather short and nothing like the old ones, more like another cyberpunk shooter. However the multiplay is the true jewel of this game. The maps are well designed and enemies don't just pop up from one place, they would move accordingly and what you would encounter are sometimes quite random.

Fighting bosses with others really makes me feel like I'm playing the old Syndicates.
I would have liked to have at least tried it, but... the Australian Classification Board has struck again :|

Thankfully a R18+ rating is quite likely to be put into effect in the near future, now that most of the people in opposition to it have finally buggered off.
sorry for asking, but out of curiosity.the rating system in Australia is really what people say?

yup but before it comes in the 15 rating will be removed (apparently one of your wonderful board pushed that through) so for 6+ months you won't even have the 15+ games -.- I was thinking of moving there for a job till I read that little joke...

As far as I can tell, only South Australia has plans for that silliness.

They aren't quite as ban-happy as people seem to go on about, however they are rather inconsistent - Left4Dead 2 was censored, yet Dead Island got through without any alterations at all? I think they need to get their eyes (or brains) checked :P

the south australian auth is the same group (though not the same person as he quit) that stopped you getting the 18+ for years so if it goes through it will be your national board that passes it

I heard that passed a few months ago or something. Guess I heard wrong. =(
It's not a bad game, just painfully average despite all its gimmicks.
Love Starbreeze and shooters like this. Looking forward to playing it when I get home.

Couldn't care less what the name on the box is.
The game is pretty fun and the shooting is great
the only real issue is the name and that alone shouldn't cause the hate this has

Maybe they took the mean for the scores for the visuals and the writing?
I liked the game a lot. Multiplayer is great and I'm not a multiplayer kind of guy. :P

The singleplayer is nice, though a bit too generic and much like a B movie. I firmly believe that a Lone wolf and cub aproach to the story would have been much better, with a stoic agent obsessed with protecting his former (and murdered) executive master's son/daughter from harm.

Agreed.

On Singeplayer: It was really unsteampunk for me and played out like some crappy half assed movie.

On multiplater: It is better than ME3 mutliplayer since Syndicate's multiplayer is quite difficult if you don't work as a team. Also you can easily customize your character in all sorts of different ways.
