Being without any way to buy stuff online now with no credit/debit card, and no way of getting those fancy Vanilla Visa cards where I live, can someone help me out by gifting me games... but I'll send you the money back in the mail or money order or something. If you think this is a stupid and moronic idea, I'll understand. (I have a lot of stupid and moronic ideas)
i think you should do this differently then :)
i used to ask a friend to use his paypal to pay my stuff and refund him when i got the goods.
way easier this way.
Don't you know any1 with a paypal account?

I can't use it because I have nothing to link it to.
well i used the credit card of my mother in law and linked it to a new account.
so i could order things on ehr account and refund it.
it ain't so difficult is it. altough a modicum of trust is required.

I'm not really in a position to do that.
I can help you, if it won't be a horrible amount of money.
I vaguely remember reading that you can transfer money to a PayPal account from a bank account, rather than using a credit card. You could look into that if it sounds like a feasible option.

I saw that (I think), but it wouldn't work for my bank account because it's not Bank of America or something.

It isn't horrible amount, but it's just small games as well as taking care of my Squarespace account.
What game(s) are you after? Occasionally some of us randomly gift people stuff, little reason than random generosity, no need to refund them.
(I'm in another situation with a lot of doctors bills, but may be able to help later in 2009)
Also, on the give-a-game-to-get-a-game thread, you might be able to find someone who will accept a long delay on a trade.
So I'll do it.

I've already got a Paypal account which is useless, because there's nothing linked to it. Ah well. Totally fine with you doing it though.

I'm after quite a few games, which is why I want to pay money back.

In 4 hours I'll be at home (I'm at work atm), then we can discuss details. Preferrably via Skype, ICQ (maybe I'll remember my MSN, too) or some another way.
OK, so I did just link my bank account to top up, but I still need to transfer money, and it's a little suspicious if a teen is trying to send money to Bank of America branches that handle Paypal's stupid verification stuff.

Sure.
