Ghorpm: For me the game was great up to the last chapter. For me it completely ruined the story. I think they chose the most trivial sci-fi element and frankly, it didn't even fit well. pimpmonkey2382's idea sounds a lot better for me.

Wait a sec, was I supposed to be the main target of your advertisement or did you write it to other users? I'm a bit confused, you did write it as a reply to my post after all... and if you really wanted to convince me to try Downfall I'm happy to remind you that you'd succeeded half a year ago :D We had discussed it here. :D

Either way, I may join you in your little crusade: guys and gals, Downfall is definitely good enough to check it! It's not a masterpiece like The Cat Lady but a solid game nonetheless. You can't go wrong with it, especially for that price :)

Don't worry, I remember :) Just wanted to mention the game again.
Also, there is a chance it'll get a remake with voiceovers and possibly improved mechanics and visuals :) That's what its Greenlight page says.

It's a horror game, yes, but this is more like a horror game with some Grand Theft Auto elements mixed in such as side quests that include racing through a bunch of check points in a location, going through people's stuff, peeking in people's houses, and fishing.

Keep in mind that DP is basically a love letter to Twin Peaks so it's a specific kind of horror :)

Alan Wake: Some exploration, a lot of fighting.
Deadly Premonition: a lot of exploration and side activities, some fighting.
Also, York is lovely while Alan is an ass for most part :)
