KneeTheCap: Origin seems to be able to kill off Mass 3 for some. Their game is nearly unplayable with origin on, it has something to do with the mouse and such.
Kinda funny too, considering Mass 3 is Origin only :D
I'm playing ME 3 right now and I don't have any problems at all. And considering the very healty MP games, I don't think I'm the only one. I consider this just another "EA is killing ME bohoo" argument. Kinda funny too, considering Mass 3 is Origin only :D
I also like Origin, it's "slicker and faster" than Steam, but the store is pretty shitty. And whoever thinks clients are a waste of time, I urge you to uninstall a fully modded Oblivion GOTY. Each of the shitty little addons has there own install entry. On Steam/Origin I can simply click on delete local content and it's done.
dirtyharry50: I read the Origin Terms of Service and knew right then I would never buy a title there. I don't want to argue about the Origin TOS so I'm not going to quote what I found offensive. I would just encourage those purchasing games on Origin to be sure to read that document and know what you are getting into. If you are fine with it well then that's all good. I wasn't.
Thry could write in their TOS that they will have my first child. Consumer protection laws still apply. AzureKite: Well, actually Origin doesn't allow to change game language for everyone. RU and neighbouring countries in its region are sometimes tied hard to russian-only versions and there's no real choice available. Such was my fate with Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect 3. The latter I already corrected, but it always requires some digging and manual tinkering with game's files.
For me Steam is a better experience at the moment. Whether things will change in the future is yet to be seen.
That is because they don't want cheaper russian keys sold to western audiences. It's not a bug, It's a "regional DRM" so to say. MW 3 did the same. For me Steam is a better experience at the moment. Whether things will change in the future is yet to be seen.
