First (before I tried it) I didn't like it but now I think it's very good. There is a lot of reasons why I like it more:

I don't have to set up offline mode. If my Internet connection go down, I still can play my games.
I have regional prices, not western ones, so I can save about 20% on games.
I can choose whatever language version of the game I want. Steam always install my regional version unless I change language of Steam client.
I can add my old boxed version of the EA games to my Origin account.
It works faster.

If I'm ever gonna have option between buying game on Steam and Origin, I'm gonna choose the second one. Of course I would prefer clientless games but I just know it won't happen.

I have both origin and steam (heaps more games). The only downside with origin at the moment for me is the lack of sales & the crappy pricing scheme for Australia (pretty much full pricing comparable to retail stores).Ive only got BF3 and BC2 on Origin - so far no problems.
Cool story bro. Although I think the offline mode is really subjective. A lot of games will require Origin, especially the ones they make from it's introduction on. For instance, Sim City will require you to check online when you start it up.

I read from a forum user here he got kicked out of ME3 pretty often due to his internet.

Regional prices, if they're in your favor are always nice of course, but I imagine the Russians think the same on Steam :)

I didn't know that about the Language thing on Steam. Another reason I'm glad the Dutch don't bother with localising stuff but just keep it English :)

I personally have many reasons to prefer Steam but about to take a shower so no interest in listing them again, with the ones you mentioned I can see why you like Origin though :)

Either way, for most people here, this'll be which one is the lesser of two weevils ;) (+rep to the person that got that one without looking it up :D)

I already had few sales. Maybe they are regional.

It's different. You can start ME3 without being online but you can't use DLC (it worked that way even before Origin - ME2) if you are playing game and you loose connection but you don't use DLC, you won't be kicked. It's not Origin fault, but BioWare Network.

That's a defeatist attitude. You'll never become the king with it!

I'm not going to touch Origin without a really good reason, since I don't want to help them in their pursuit of favorable statistics. Just imagine if my contribution of +1 user made it possible to convince some fancypants game guys to Origin exclusive releases or something! Oh the horror...

Although I see your point about it not necessarily being the client, it is all the Origin account that's linked isn't it? Dragon Age now is the same as my Origin ID I think. And ME2 has 23 DLC I believe, no doubt ME3 will have as many as well, including the proper ending if all the complaints are to be believed xD I'd say DLC are pretty integral to the game, although ultimately not required of course, but if I can't continue playing a game I was using it in, I probably just won't play until I can.
Origin seems to be able to kill off Mass 3 for some. Their game is nearly unplayable with origin on, it has something to do with the mouse and such.

Kinda funny too, considering Mass 3 is Origin only :D

Well, I just want to play games. I just can't stop playing them because of that. At least I'm honest. Not like many people that say "I'm gonna boycott it" but then they buy game anyway. ;)

I don't know, I played ME3 fully offline (network deactivated before starting the game) and I didn't had any issue with it and the "From Ashes" DLC and the useless dog and the other junk that came with the Collector edition, were working fine.

Origin works faster than Steam for you? That's odd, for me Origin is painfully slow compared to Steam.

Interesting. Your Internet connection was offline or just Origin?

The friendly neighborhood politruk disapproves. :p
Honesty is good, though, so I guess I'll let it slide this time. You're still in the running towards becoming Europe's next top king.

Disabled the network adapter. Origin starts automatically when you start the game but unlike Steam switch to offline mode automatically.

It's just my personal experience. Maybe it depends on hardware.
As a sidenote, I believe you can add any boxed versions of Valve games to Steam, as well as any Steamworks games and a fair assortment of 3rd party games (list), so whether that's a pro for you probably just depends on your gaming preference and whether your library is mostly EA based :)

About the language thing on Steam, have you tried this?
Changing the language of individual games

The language of many games can be changed independently from the Steam client language.

Log into your Steam account
Right click on a game from the Steam game library and choose Properties.
Go to the Language tab
Select the language you wish to use from the drop-down menu
Click OK
If the game supports the language you have selected, files for that language may need to be downloaded before you can play.
