dragonbeast: have you tried calling a nearby animal shelter (i don't know how you say it in english, we call it "dierenasiel" in dutch)

dogs are normally not allowed to run free and police might have found and captured them and taken to one of those to be placed for adoption

i'm not saying this is certain, it is far from one

but there is a very small chance they have been found and placed in one

reaver894: If the police have found them they would go to a shelter and checked for micro chips, I believe that is a standard procedure in most of Europe
Yes, the procedure is this.
I'm waiting for a call, let's hope someone call us soon :(

They are, i asked already
From what I can remember, the dogs (or at leasst my dogs) usually go around places with groups of people. Every time I lost a dog, its always been a case where I find them somewhere in my neighborhood where people are present. Sorry if this doesnt help, I really wish I could help find them as I know what your going through.
I posted it this morning but the forum eats my message.
One of the dog, the female one, Nala, is returned this night aroung 1.30 am.
I heard a rumor outside, so I opened the door and she was here.
She cried like a baby when she saw me, then I gave her a lot of food and water, and then she falls asleep.
She is now in front of the gate, waiting for the male, crying doing this.
I hope the male will find his way home, but I'm glad at least one of them reach us again.

Big_Boss: snip
Awesome to hear one of them has returned, fingers crossed the male returns home soon.
thats awesome that one has managed to make it home!
i have everything crossed that the male also retrunts (maybe hes just having a lads night out? :P)

also im sorry if that comment upsets you - i only mean it kindly and maybe it might make you smile just a wee bit. i am sincere in my hope that both are together again soon.
very glad to hear one has come back!

if she is sitting outside maybe she will bark a lot which can be good.
as the dogs know each other and dogs have very good hearing they might recognise each others barking and the male might use it as a beacon to get home.

dogs come from wolves, wolves are group animals. chances are pretty high they both wanted to get back to their pack ( which is you and both of them). dogs don't like being alone and since the first one is home the second one will probably try to get back.

(not wanting to give false hope, just stating a fact)
