I just heard of the game over at GamesRadar in their list of Mature games that actually have Mature themes, rather than just a bunch of fart jokes and swearing.

I read from Kotaku that the game is abandonware, but I don't know where to find it. Does anyone know where I can find it?

That'd be illegal and probably against the Forums TOS, as Abandonware isn't necessarily legal.

I heard from somewhere that the website that was still selling it was getting checks from people, but the checks were never cashed and the CDs were never shipped.
And I had no idea abandonware was illegal. Well, guess I should stop visiting Abandonia, then.

Well maybe not so much illegal but it's still sharing copyrighted material, so whichever website is uploading it, is in the wrong because the copyright still exists, no one is enforcing it though

I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream is a really good game inspired by a really good novel. Get it wherever you want from, as long as you don't tell us.

Is the game still on sale on Ellison's site ? Because on Amazon, as I live in Canada, the only copy available to international is $154.94, which is a bit high... Is there any other places to buy it ?

Whoa there, Thread Necromancer! Start a new thread if you can't find anything recent.

The game is listed as on sale on Ellison's site, but he returns the cheques, so I think that's just a case of one seriously out of date website.

You can't buy it. You can't get an officially free version either. But you wouldn't exactly be hurting sales if you got an unofficially free copy.

Thank for your answer, and sorry for resurrecting an old thread. But I never learned why we must not resurrect thread? This way, there are less threads no?

I hope GOG can get this game sometime... (I already voted for it in the wanted list)

I watched an LP of this by a guy named Necroscope not too long ago. I don't think I'd ever play it, but as an LP it was definitely engaging. I also went and read the short story due to the LP. I prefer the game though.

The beginning monologue by AM may be one of the most psychologically terrifying things I've ever seen/heard in a game. Even more amazing when you find out it was Ellison doing AM's voice.
