I agree it's odd, but Zoo apparently only deals in console games themselves. Why they ended up with Empire's PC games at all is an interesting question, must've been a bundle pack. ;) However, seeing that they only do console games themselves (and mostly casual games at that) and aren't familiar with the PC market, making a deal with GOG for PC game distribution might well be better for Zoo. At any rate, I'd sure rather they made a deal with Gog than Steam after all!

no they don't know a lot about them, thats why im going thew all the empire games right now for them, the games i mentioned may not even be used, and may not even make their way to gog. but they don't know what is in the boxes of games we have because they are literally just sitting here. we as a company havent considered anything as of yet, this is only an idea i came up with since i love gog and would like to help as much as i can. but to better give them a good idea of what people want and proove these are worth doing something with i need public opinion to back me up

well from my opinion. companies like steam are big in success and need no help, Zoo games ourselves are a small publishing company and growing, but gog is great bc these games are classics that could do well here. avp i'm pretty sure is already on steam as well. GOG just seems more suitable for games like these. plus drm free come on lol

All I can say is that you need to pick up the pace and get those boxes open, constantly nod your head yes while you talk to the "higher ups" about releasing games on GOG. . . . =)

i've already contacted gog about to hear their opinion on it, but i've already had to go through these box's(theres a lot lol) many times before so i know whats in them. in terms of revealing part. when we have something concrete like a list of games that can be brought on if they do come to gog, i couldn't tell you. an idea is free floating and is subject to change. anything else tho my lips will have to stay shut lol. but i'll do my best to help GOG out

I appreciate your efforts to bring these games to GOG. I would say, with this thread, the chances have been reduced greatly. Competition is an ugly critter. Your bosses are probably wondering why all these companies are calling them as we type . . . =)

GOG will certainly tell you sales figures and estimates and such which will be of far more use to you.
But definitely, these are classics that would all make it into the top 5.

Those games certainly all deserve to be here. However, I have to agree with others that mentioning it publically like this may have hurt the chances of it happening. Still, let's hope for the best.
Now that the cat is out of the bag, so to speak, I would try to get your higher-ups to talk to GOG's higher-ups as fast as humanly possible, if I were you. Preferably by phone, and preferably right now.

Unless your company is called Take two/Capcom/Activision/Microsoft/ETC you don't have any rights to those titles period, just because the company you bought may have published those games in the past doesn't mean that you now own things like their IP or digital distribution rights.
