There's no shame in pirating when you're broke or need to spend money on more important things, just make sure to actually buy the game if you liked it and get rid of your pirated copy when you do have money.

I disagree. Well. if you can live life without them, I guess yes, so much the better. But there's no real downside to credit cards unless you can't discipline yourself to not overspend. If you pay them off every month, they can be a great thing.

I tend to use mine as a debit card. As soon as I get home, I pay it off on-line. I haven't paid a cent of interest in almost a decade.
Big virtual hug to all the fellow broke gamers out there.

The autumn sale broke my wallet. Now it's time to save for the next one. :)

Broke huh... There was a time I was in that position, except I wasn't. Meaning, I had over 5k € in my bank account, but I could not access any of it. I had to survive on plain potatos, pasta, and didn't even have money to buy a pillow or a bed sheet in December. Fun times, I don't get to feel cold often.

Haha. Saw what ya' did there. XD
I don't mind being broke funnily enough. Once my family is in good nick, I'm not too pushed either way.

Being broke makes me careful with money, I don't buy shit I don't need.

I have a couple of really sweet guitars from when I had money, my only vice is games and sometimes I can get to pig out on some great sales.

Life is like tennis, even when you got nothing, you still got love...or some such hippy-dippy shit like that (I don't play tennis)
Worse than being broke seeing people with i-phones and motorbikes at 18 from families who have to count the number of cars they have on both hands pirating games and being idiots in class. So while I do fear about money, I feel much worse seeing those people doing that.
*insert your pick of emo suicide joke*

thanks obama...

Well, sure. And I use them all the time for work as it makes travel much easier, and I also like my vendors to be paid right away instead of waiting NET30. Not having the discipline is the problem. If someone has it, great. If not, it might lead to big problems.

We're now in the same boat as you, paying it off before interest accrues. It wasn't always that way, though, and I'm glad I woke up, paid the crap off, and now go month-to-month. One less thing to worry about.
