Good news; I got it working! All I had to do is move my install folder over to the older computer, and everything took care of itself! I got my save, too, which is a huge plus.

Good for you! I'm interested in hearing how you like the game itself. Personally, I think it holds up superbly, even today. But then, I played it back when it came out, so I'm slightly biased. I'd love to hear your opinion.

So far, it's pretty disturbing. I just finished the level with those children, and the revelations about the town made me want to hurl, especially finding the "Secret Weapon" in the child's game and talking to the girl by the pumpkin patch. The idea of using such a "Secret Weapon" to win such a simple game is horrifying. The story also intrigues me, and it's a huge hook that makes me want to continue playing just to see what happens next.
The bad? So far, voice acting has been pretty hit-or-miss, the pumpkin patch sequence was aggravating, and controlling your guy is sluggish.
Aside from these problems, the game is very fun for me right now. I'll be able to form a more complete opinion once I'm done with it.

You mean one of those spring rides? If so, I saw it, but didn't pay much heed to it.
Anyway, I'm in the carnival right now, and from first glances, that place doesn't look as messed up as the town, but I'm sure that will change once I reach that house on the other island.
EDIT: Just finished the Carnival section, and I'm back in that asylum. Man, that was a powerful way to delve into the main character's past. Though once again, I had to go through a fight, and once again, it wasn't very fun at all. The evil creature in that section was way overhyped, and once I got to it, the thing was much smaller than conversations with the residents had me believe.
This game is awesome; looking forward to playing more of it!

I agree. I think this may be a personal favorite now, so I would easily buy it again just so I don't have to deal with three discs or having to use another computer to run it.
I just finished the two parts after the carnival, and am back in the real world again. The real world segment was extremely disturbing, and the segment following that was...interesting. No fight scenes, though. Thank God. Right now, I'm testing whether "Dead Men Tell No Tales" is a reliable statement...
